Not the Perfect Trimmer but not Bad Either
I paper craft a lot and haven't found (or heard of) the one perfect trimmer. This one isn't the exception. That being said, it still has a lot going for it, and I am happy with my purchase. I will be using it in conjunction with my swing arm blade style trimmer that can cut papers up to 12"x12" size. I do recommend that if you only buy one trimmer for card and scrapbooking paper crafting, that you get one that can handle at least that size paper regardless of the trimmer style. The honest truth is that this works so well though, that I will probably use it more than the swing arm style now. But I still want both to create the "perfect" trimmer choice.Pros:Clean, crisp, sharp cutsFairly Compact and Portable - great if no flat space can be dedicated only to trimmer placementSeems durableSafe construction (especially for a guillotine style) with large finger guardNo blade replacement costsNice measurement grid markings (on platform and at top and bottom)Good price point for the qualityCons:When first used, the blade was very tight and tugged the paper out of place and created crooked cuts.Still requires sturdy hold to avoid the crooked cuts.Guillotine style can cut fingers if operator is major klutz (I am and have) - reminder to make use of guardNot suitable for 12' x 12" paper cuttingCan't make window cuts in paper

Love it!
I really researched a paper cutter to get, and I have small area, really small to store also when not used. This one is just right size wise. I have a paper trimmer, but does not cut like I need for intricate details and tears my designs. I wanted a guillotine one without costing an arm and a leg. It's lightweight and doesn't feel cumbersome when finishing and storing away. I have it upright in my cubicle, closed and not worried about getting cut. It cuts cardstock easily with no frays. I am currently using 100 lb, 271 g/m. I really like the ruler on top and bottom. Was worried about not being able to get some layered cards under that guide, but it seems to adjusts, and haven't had a problem. Great purchase!

Product good, shipping bad
Item is great. Works very well. Was disappointed on how it was package/shipped. I was supposed to give it as a gift, but they just slapped a shipping label on the item box! Needless to say it was slightly damaged, the box was. How was i supposed to give it as a gift with a damaged box? I don't understand why it wasn't packed in another box. Thank goodness I sent this to my PO Box. If I would have sent this to my home, any "porch pirate " would know exactly what they were stealing!!!This is the 2nd item with no packaging, why would anyone want everyone to know what they are buying.Sad.

Cuts cardstock like a champ
I bought one of these small trimmers from the Amazon Warehouse. It’s a good value for money. I mainly bought it to cut heavyweight cardstock, Tim Holtz Kraft cardstock and backdrops. It’s easy to see where you are cutting and chops 300gsm cardstock with no issues. It’s lightweight yet sturdy. I expect to get plenty of use out of it. Excellent purchase.

Easy to Use
I love this! Gave mine away in a class I was teaching and couldn't wait to replace it. Didn't realize I use it so much. It's Tim Holtz, what can I say, it's wonderful. I'm a trimmer hoarder and I like this one for paper and cardstock.

Great card making tool
This cutter takes up a lot less space than one for 12by12 cardstock. I also appreciate that the blade stays sharp. That saves me from buying expensive blades for my larger trimmer.
