I bought this for my son in college because he thought it would help him fold better. Folding clothes is not a talent any of sons seems to have. After the first I went back to get two more for my other sons. It makes folding easier but I think my sons like it most because it helps reduce the space their clothes take in their closets and drawers-which is important to kids living in dorms or small apartments. It just makes everything they fold look neat and orderly. I also bought one for me and I am going to buy one for my elderly mom.
