Warm + Comfy = Great Sleep
Used this whilst hiking and camping the West Highland Way this year. R value is good and the mat kept me warm. The mat is very comfortable and has provided a very comfortable sleep. The mat is also robustly made and reassured me that the baffles inside won't pop like my old Thermarest X-Lite did. So far all good (I'm still walking the WHW). Inflation takes about 20-30 puffs. Can definitely recommend. At just under a kilo, it's on the heavy side for a mat, but I think the comfort, warmth and reassurance it provides is worth the grammes. EDIT: still a great mat, but question the R value of 3.4. I think this is more like a 1.5. Manufacturers can just make up the R value. I did see one report where some had shown the real R value for this pad as 1.2-1.5. So be mindful of that. Still a great pad, but cold if you don't have a reflective mat underneath. You can feel the cold ground sucking your heat away.

Purchased from Trailside - Great company to deal with. Amazing sleeping pad.
Purchased the klymit insulated static double from trailside, who were brilliant to deal with when I had a query. The klymit sleeping pad... Well what a piece of kit and Im really glad I purchased... We do a lot of camping, normally travelling by train and keeping things light is important. we were using standard flocked double bed which are pretty heavy, take up quite a bit of room and they also they have zero insulation.. which we found out about when we decided to go camping in early spring.. normally I don't thank my partner for packing a ridiculous amount of extra clothes, but this time I was glad. So I looked into the thermarest pads but every so often I would read reviews that they make a hell of a noise when you move on them (crisp packetesque) which is probably fine solo camping etc, but not something that would have worked for family camping. So the klymit pads seemed to fit the bill and I checked other reviews, not just on Amazon, mainly because well it's quite expensive for what is really just an inflatable bed.. and maybe not purchased regularly enough to get a stack of reviews. Go have a look about and you will see they are highly rated. For me the winners about this product is its lightweight, well made, comfortable (with no air displacement when someone moves on the pad), quiet and of course insulated. So if you are kind of swithering between this and something just a bit cheaper. I would go with the Klymit static insulated range. Worth the little bit extra in my mind.

Decent comfort at a good price and a small, light package
This bedmat packs up very small - only takes up ~ 2l of volume when rolled tight, and is easy to inflate fully (the inflation valve system takes a minute to get your head around but is pretty effective. However, it's not got as much "loft" off the ground as I'd like - Particularly if you sleep on your side you'll most definitely be touching the ground. Ideal for lightweight hiking trips or for fairly warm weather, or if used on top of another basemat. It's also pretty good value.

Comfy and Warm... A Little on the Chunky Side
Ordered this to use in my Wild Country Helm 1 (not saying the name of my tent to flex, just saying it incase you're wondering if this will fit inside a Helm 1. It will) I'll keep the review simple. COMFORT 8/10 It's pretty comfortable. I slept on this for 3 nights in grassy and then twiggy forest floors and all nights I slept like a literal log. Heads up, I sleep like a log in most places but still, fair olay. The V slots down the middle give it a bitttt of an awkward feel at times if you're in a certain positions especially. I sleep on my side and occasionally felt a bit awkward with the V slots. Not enough to stop you sleeping, but enough to make you change positions. EASE OF USE 10/10 You blow it up with your mouth. Takes less than 10 breaths. I have both my lungs but might take longer if you only had one. Packing away is child's play. Roll it up and stuff it in the handy bag. THERMAL QUALITIES 10/10 Incredibly warm at night. So toasty. Can literally feel the warmth beneath you. I'd genuinely use this in all seasons. I reckon with a decent sleeping bag you'd stay comfy in some pretty cold temps. PACKABILITY 7/10 Maybe I want my cake and to eat it too (ie I want a R value around 3 but also for it to pack small) but this was larger than I expected. Took up a fair amount of bag space. Kind of wished they could someone make it a tad smaller. VALUE FOR MONEY 10/10 No questioning this one. Finding a reputable brand with a properly tested R value sleeping mat that wasn't over £150 was low key quite difficult. I'm sure the more expensive ones are great but honestly I had nothing but sweet dreams on this. No complaints in terms of value.

Comfortable but not warm in winter
I was excited to receive this air mattress, especially as it was the most money I’d ever spent on one. The air mattress is fairly light and compact, which is great for multi day trips. When camping in summer and early autumn, I found the mat comfortable due to its shape and the baffles keep you from easily falling off. When paired with the klymit mattress cover, I was warm. However, in winter I was always cold. Due to Klymit advertising this as a 4 season air mattress (some shops online still advertise this as having an R-value of 4.4!), I presumed it was my sleeping bag that needed upgrading. Eventually after trying various sleep systems I realised that the problem was with the mattress. Unfortunately, it is not as highly insulated as described (ASTM rating of only 1.9). After over a year of testing, I can now confidently say that this is a 2 season (3 at push) sleeping air mattress. Do not use this on its own in winter/cold weather or you will be very cold, possibly even putting your life at risk in sub-zero conditions. Overall, this is a comfortable sleeping air mattress and due to its weight and size is great for spring/summer. However, it is not suitable for winter, which makes this a fairly expensive 2-3 season air mattress. If wish to camp in winter, look elsewhere.

I've had both, the Static V and now own the Insulated Static V. I swore by the static V as it took me through -10 Degrees Celcius winter camping excursions, multiple military exercises and various car camping, backpacking, canoe camping trips in all weather. it was so compact, light, and durable. EXCEPT when faced against an open flame that totally turned my Static V into glue. The insulated one came out. And it turns out, its just as comfortable, if not warmer, and funny enough, it packs perfectly fine into my old static V bag. So it claiming to pack bigger is not an issue. patch kit is simpler, better as well. Just one self adhesive Patch by GearAid. before it was the patch with glue tube. (not that i've had to use it yet) I am going to hopefully go another many years with now the Insulated Static V and avoid open fire pits with this one. The new valve is easier to blow up nice and tight, though I'll admit the yellow ball in the middle of the valve I had no idea what was going on for a minute. Once you figure it out, its quick, intuitive and more effective then the twist valve that sticks out.

コスパ良すぎ この手の物は高いわりにハズレは空気漏れするがそれは運なので、私のはキャンプで2年使ってるが空気漏れも特になし。 色以外は特に不満なし 個人的にはおすすめ

Heard people saying it's hard to roll up back into the bag. Do not listen - it is easy. (those poor people.... Sorry to criticize guys, but... It's really pretty easy.) Heard people saying it's hard to get the air out. Do not listen, it is easy. Maybe they are bothered that you have to run your forearms down it twice to get the air out... I can afford that for 25oz night of comfortable, warm sleep the size of a tightly rolled pair of pants. Heard people saying they were big and it was still comfortable. Listen to them, it blew my mind. When I received it and heated it's weight and saw how small it was, I was SO incredulous. When I unrolled it I laughed. I though I had been bamboozled - literally, I wasn't just incredulous. Then I blew it up in 40 seconds. Because of the (frankly ingenious) chambered design, it shifts to hold you completely off the ground, using your weight pushing down to push up on you. Even if you don't buy this, go try one somewhere, it's the kind of thing that makes you wonder what took us so long to figure out. It just works. And it takes way less time to fill up, and is just tiny/light. I heard people saying it kept them warm. Listen to them, it does! I tested it out in 25 degrees on concrete. I laid on the bare ground (it was cold and hard), I laid on a yoga mat (it was actually pretty insulated! But cold and hard), I laid about 15 minutes on the sleep pad. Everything touching it was toasty warm (not just not-cold, it was comfy warm! How do they do that? For a few more ounces the pad keeps you warm??) and I was comfortable, even on my side. I'm 6'2" and 200lb. And I'm a big time side sleeper who has always had a hard time sleeping outside. Hips hurt! But even on concrete I could get comfortable. It wasn't like my bed, but it has such a dynamic feel and active flow of air in your movements, it hugs you. Very comfortable. I don't know if they make pads that feel like bed, no hardness at all, but this isn't that perfect. But I was able to side-sleep in mid 30's for 2 nights in the Mt. St Helens wilderness and get some very nice batches of continuous rest. Temperature was a total non-issue. Comfort was very adequate and I won't be looking for something better (I've tried most thermarest air/foam pads and other foams - ick) because of great performance. If you are a back or tummy sleeper, this would be even better. PROS -comfort! (side sleeping power! Static V power!) -warmth! (WOW) -packed size and weight. -length and width, fits my whole frame, even on my side with knees bent -deployment. I can do this in 8 breaths, however it's a lot easier to do smaller breaths. I can blow it up in 30 seconds. I can have it from filled to rolled into he bag in 2 minutes, and in my package to laying on it in 1. I'm impressed, and all those bulky 'self-inflating' pads can take a hike. (pun intended). -design (cutting edge, seriously brilliant stuff in the chamber idea) (and the ergos are superior) -carry bag and system. Also comes with repair kit, that is conveniently attaches as a flap on the bag lip, so you don't lose it. -got mine in camo, think I'm going to have a camo phase of life. looks very good, absolutely same quality - buy without fear. -price. Got mine for like $75 in late '15. -friend envy. No one admitted it, but they were impressed/jealous of this novel, dainty luxury. One of them got a little sick and took a 3-hour nap on it. What's wrong with your hammock? ;-) -durability. Feels very strong, quality, robust for being a glorified balloon. I've played with it a lot, I deploy it for fun, let my 1 year old play on it (what was I thinking??), and have used it on exposed rocky concrete and in a tent on rough ground. No issues -valve. I have hear people saying it's wrong to have it by the head, that plastic is too weak. Don't listen to them, placement is fine (and if you need more air for some reason you need more air, you'd be grumbling if it wasn't at the head!), and plastic is fine. It's not the physical apatratus breaking that causes pad failure. The valve isn't exposed when rolled up, it isn't roughed up normally, and it's just fine. Also it's a very intuitive and quick/easy system that hasn't leaked. -seal. Holds air. I think I had to blow up once during the night. But it was very cold. I'm impressed with its air holding. I fill it up all the way, taut. CONS -noise. My buddy decided to sleep it the tent with me, to my chagrin I think I woke him up half the times I had to shift. It's loud with a bag and major shifting. In the quiet of night, in a tent, it can be disruptive. -slick. I've heard that it's slippery. Listen, they're right. I thought "peh, who cares? Am I gonna sleep on a hill?" well, our first night was on a hill. Every move, except for flexing a single ankle at a time, had me slipping downward. This was a very annoying experience. We could have been smarter and prioritized finding a flat spot, and probably anyone would slip on that incline (my buddy did and had military gear), but hey I can't lie. It's kinda slick. Not so you would notice normally, but with a slick bag and any hill, you'll notice.

great product. comfortable, warm. It invites you to stay in bed a bit longer on a cold day. It combines the comfort of an air mattres with the isolation of a termarest in to a very ligthweigth pad. I really recommend it

I have to preface this with the fact that I never write reviews on Amazon, but I have made an exception for this air mattress. It was amazing! I hiked about 10 miles a day and slept like a baby! It was so comfortable. I'm a side sleeper and I wasn't sore at all when I rolled over. It is very easy to blow up and only took a few minutes to do so. I've only had it a short while so I can't review durability, but I needed it for this one trip and it was perfect! As far as being insulated, I'm not sure. It was only in the low 50s high 40s, but no coldness came through the mat and I appreciated being warm. Buy it, you won't regret it.
