Great for the price
Bought this just before installing a new kitchen. Great bit of kit. I normally buy Bosch professional (blue coloured kit), but this did the job fine. It projects a 360 horizontal line and a 180 vertical line. It also self levels (to a point) so it guarantees your install is perfect

Bought as a gift
Really good laser for cost, just make sure you buy rechargeable batteries as it does eat through them.

easy to use and helps significantly with striking a line
This kit has everything you need to strike a straight and level line both horizontally and vertically. All packaging, instructions, laser storage pouch and tripod have used recycled materials in their construction – let’s hope others follow suit.Tripod:Initially, I was a little dismissive of the tripod as I have good quality ones for photography, but to be fair it is good, light-weight and it does the job it is designed for. It comes with a quick open/adjust tripod with a handle to allow for smaller height adjustments on a centred pole. The tripod has a fast remove shoe which screws into the base of the level. Then it simply clips in and out.The opening and closing of the legs is by way of quick release thumb levers that drop the leg, then close to lock it. When all three are out, the centre column has a handle to wind it up and down where you can get decent precision to obtain a specific height, then a thumb screw to hold it in place. The vertical is a simple rotation of the head and thumb screw to hold it in place. The base plate has both pitch and roll adjustments should you need angular lines. There are 2 spirit levels built in the get the base levelled. You don’t need to use the tripod, the level will work just fine on flat surfaces (with quick release shoe removed).Laser level:The laser is self-levelling, so you don’t need pinpoint precision to get the tripod level. It will initially bob around but settle when left alone. You will need to make gentle movements to get your line into place if you are working to a set point and make small adjustments when the line stops wobbling. This can be tricky if you are working on a floor with tremors or some heavy footfall stomping past, so patience is key. If the level is not within self-levelling tolerances it will flash to let you know. The flashing can be turned off if you are working on angles. The laser will cast horizontal (360 degrees), vertical (including floor and ceiling in front of laser) or both by cycling through the mode button. The laser is bright green and easily stands out even in good daylight. No laser safety glasses are provided, which may be advisable if you are going to be using this for prolonged periods of time.Bottom line:It is a good quality laser level that makes it easy to strike levels. I can’t comment on value for money as this is a pre-launch product, but I would expect something in the £150-£180 price range. My previous laser level (resting in pieces after a fall) cost me £150 without a tripod and wasn’t as good as this one.

expensive but accurate and easy to use
☑️ As described and as advertised.☑️ Well packaged and well presented.☑️ We think that this would make a good gift idea for the more enthusiastic or advanced DIY’er in your life.☑️ Good brand with a good reputation in the tools market and this is another solid example of their brand quality.☑️ We like the green credentials with the use of recycled, plastic, recycled, fibres, and polybag free packaging. This is nice it adds to the overall utility of the product – but the product has to be fit for purpose for any of these green credentials to count - which it is and does☑️ Sturdy and easy to use and as accurate as our other line laser units.☑️ This takes standard replaceable batteries. This means that they can easily be replaced, but we would have preferred a rechargeable integrated battery pack.☑️ we like this comes as a set of includes a tripod and a carry case.☑️ More advanced than cheaper models. We’ve tried as this has a horizontal 360° laser level, a vertical laser lines in a 90° angle and also has one plum down point.☑️ This is a green laser light unit which is apparently four times better in terms of visibility when compared to units with red laser lines. We’ve never really had any issues with Red Laser lines in the past, but if you have, you might want to consider a green laser line. This is expensive, but it is an impressive piece of kit. The question is whether you’re get enough utility and use out of it for the money. If you are a very basic and every now and then DIY Van Damme, this might not be worth the investment.

Fantastic
I don't know how much costs so I can't speak to value but Bosch are very fairly priced given the quality so, just on that, I think this is an excellent thing. We're doing up the spare room, and this has saved us *hours*.We've always had to use one of those stupid ruler things with a bobble of liquid in the middle to get a straight line - this means you don't have to. And it doesn't just do horizontal lines; it does vertical lines, too, and gives you your centre point. It comes with a tripod which is pretty much as sturdy as my professional camera tripod. It's a teensy bit unstable on carpet, but that's to be expected.Remarkably, also, it gives you your lines around the room simultaneously, so you're not having to adjust it at all to measure each wall separately. Amazing. What's more, it can be angled to give you degrees, so if you needed to paint across a diagonal line, for example, this does that, too.If you're putting up shelves, or needing straight lines for tape or paint, this is just phenomenal.I will say, the line is a green laser, and it's really, really bright so do be aware of that.Weirdly, it runs on AA batteries, and 4 come included, but that was weird, somehow. We had it running for most of a day, though, and didn't need to switch the batteries out, so it's not energy-hungry.This isn't the fanciest Bosch Laser Level you can get, but if you're a DIY person, this is bally marvellous, and completely fool-proof. I say this as a fool.I'd really love to know what the price is because that would determine whether it's a bargain or a bit too spendy but, again, Bosch tend to be reasonable, and this really is worth however many pennies they ask for. It's brilliant.
