New Balance Women's 589v1 Industrial Shoes

I have worn these New Balance industrial shoe for years and I’ll never go back. I’m a rural mail carrier with very bad feet and both knees bone on bone. This style and the 627v2’s are the only shoes I’ll wear. They meet postal regulations and protect my feet while driving the mail truck all day. Love the hard soles. It protects my dislocated toe from harm when pressing on the gas and brake pedals. Steel toe protects me in the mail room from rolling carts.

Regret buying these. I assumed new balance would be the best but no way! Hurt my feet and super heavy. Do not recommend

I absolutely love them. I was worried about buying my normal size 6 shoe size because usually work boots or shoes run bigger but these fit perfectly. They came super fast.

The reason the versions that are black w/pink and yellow are so much more affordable is that they are not wide enough in the toe box. I ordered extra wide and they still crowded my toes. This particular design is much cheaper in Amazon and EBay - I believe there must be a widespread manufacturing defect. I tried using a stretcher, twice, still too tight in the toe box. I love New Balance, never been disappointed before, will try another model or color. Meanwhile, someone shopping at Goodwill with narrow feet is going to get a great pair of shoes.
