Opening it was a little hard in the beginning .. just tight fit. But once open it was sturdy and held various positions well. Tried boiling 25 oz water in an aluminum mug using the fuel puck it came with. Burned hot for 10 minutes. No fuel residue ran onto the plate I put beneath it. (It WILL leave soot stains which need to be cleaned off, leaving just heat-stain on both base and mug/pot, and a small amount of fuel residue needs scraping off the base. The water was just below boiling .. perfect for hot beverage or adding to food. If purifying water is my goal I’ll try 20 oz or use two smaller pucks for a longer burn time.
