15+ Years of Use for Sensitive Stomachs, Still Our Go-To
I’ve been feeding this food since 2011, starting with a dog who had a very sensitive stomach. After a lot of trial and error, this was the only food that consistently worked for him. He stayed on it for most of his life and lived to 18. He was healthy his entire life: good teeth, normal bloodwork, active, and never dealt with chronic illness or cancer. I grew up with dogs that were fed cheaper grocery store food, and both developed cancer. I’m not saying food alone determines health, but quality nutrition clearly matters. I now feed this to my two current dogs as well. I’ve tried other higher-end brands over the years, but many have had recalls or quality issues. This food has been reliable and consistent for more than a decade. The price has gone up since I first started buying it, which isn’t ideal, but I’ve still been able to find decent deals through subscriptions and sales. The only real issue I’ve had was a Black Friday order that got canceled after long delays, which was frustrating but not related to the food itself. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or skin issues and you want something proven and consistent, this is a solid choice. Small con: The price increases add up, especially for larger dogs.

Great food for sensitive stomachs
Sure, it’s a little bit pricey, but this is by far the best dry dog food we have found for our pets. Before finding sensitive stomach and skin, we had tremendous problems with gas and this seems to have solve it. The dogs are actually excited for their meals so we are quite pleased.

Dog loves it and good for him
One of my dogs is sensitive to a lot of things, I guess I got the special one of the litter. Anyway moving him to this food has made some difference, not all his issues have been solved with the food alone but yes it has helped. The dog has been on this for at least 4 years now and he is yet to tired of it, every time it is dinner time he is just happy to get the same food. I also use Hill's science for my older dog and he is more picky but again this brand has delivered every time with high quality food.

Top notch option for dogs with sensitive skin!
My dog, a 5 year old chihuahua x Australian Cattle Dog mix, has been exclusively eating Hills Sensitive Stomach & Skin for the past three years. We absolutely love it - when I adopted her, she had extremely itchy, flaky skin with small thinning areas from her itching. Just a few weeks after switching to this food I noticed a drastic improvement in her coat quality and overall comfort. Now, she is soft and her coat is shiny! She looks forward to breakfast and dinner every day, so it must taste great. With this food we’ve been able to maintain and healthy weight and keep her satiated. She has healthy, regular bowel movements and has had no issues with this food. For the price, and the peace of mind I get feeding her this food, we will never go back! Well worth every penny.

Great for sensitive tummy dogs
My dog needs a little bit more love when it comes to his tummy and this product seems to do just that. He tends to have a more sensitive stomach and this helps his digestion. The ingredients feel wholesome and healthy. The smell is what you would expect for kibble. The price is a little on the higher side which is why I gave this a 4 star but otherwise this is a great product. As an added bonus, my dog has never had a skin problem and I think that’s due to this product as well.

Pups love it!
My pups love this food. Kinda expensive but worth it especially if your pup has a sensitive stomach. A+++++

Science diet sensitive stomach and coat formula is what it promised.
I started using this product and the canned version when I adopted my small dog in May 2025. The dog was just skin and bones, had almost no hair and I was told she had a sensitive stomach. 7 months later, she has put on weight and grown a gorgeous, shiny, thick coat and no signs of upset stomach!

This helped my dog a lot
My aging Border Collie/Newfie mix developed a skin condition that caused her hair to become dull and fall out. Her skin became dry and flaky and itchy. She was miserable. Although I was already feeding her a quality dog food, I decided to try this one. After a couple of weeks, I began to see results, and her skin has improved significantly!

It’s a little expensive but really suits my old dog who has a sensitive stomach. She took a little time to get used to it but now she eats it happily and her condition is much improved.

El veterinario nos recomendó este alimento debido a que nuestra cachorra tiene cierta sensibilidad en la piel. Dejó de tener alergia y le gusta mucho.

I have a Doberman that is almost 2 years old. He has always had an extremely sensitive stomach and had diarrhea with every pet store food I tried, and trust me I have tried so many; all the different variations (grain free vs with grains, different meat types, fish, etc.) and even tried raw food. Everything gave him diarrhea. Finally we turned to our vet who prescribed the Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein dog food. This stopped the diarrhea which was such a relief, but the food is expensive. It stared at $130 a bag initially and over the course of 9 months has risen to $170 a bag. I was sick of the price gouging so I tried to find another alternative. There was a lot of trial and error and more diarrhea to be had. Eventually I came across this dog food and I wasn’t very hopeful at first due to all the failed attempts, but it’s been 4 months and my dog has had no issues with the food! I’m very happy with the quality and price of this dog food. My dog also eats more often now which is great because he is on the skinny side. This also proves to me that the flavour is more palatable to him than the Royal Canin brand. Highly recommend for pups out there with sensitive stomachs.
