"RECORDED DURING 2008 REUNION TOUR RECONNECTED LIVE documents one of pop's most anticipated tours: Vince Clarke (also of Depeche Mode and Erasure fame) & Alison Moyet reunited as Yaz for the first time in over 25 years. RECONNECTED LIVE from summer 2008, features classic tracks from Yaz albums Upstairs At Eric's and You And Me Both, including "Only You", "Don't Go" and "Situation" plus tracks from You And Me Both, such as "Nobody's Diary", performed live for the first time ever. The joyous, unlikely coming together of Vince Clarke, who had just left Depeche Mode, and Alison Moyet lasted for only 2 albums, saw them originally only performing only 24 concerts worldwide, but they left an indelible mark on pop. Yazoo released Upstairs At Eric's in July 1982 then parted company just 12 months later on release of the second album You And Me Both."

Imagine finally getting to see one of your favorite groups live for the first time and having them sound AMAZING. That's how I felt when I got to see Yaz (Yazoo) live in 2008. Then, even though it took two years for its release, the CD comes out and it, too, is a treat for the ears. Every song is clear and the balance between the vocals and music are perfect. I put this CD on (loud) whenever I need to be put into a good mood (like right before I dive into some major housework) or when I feel like reconnecting with one of the greatest duos of the 1980s - still sounding fantastic twenty-five years later.I recommend "Reconnected" to anyone who loves Yazoo.

Wow Allison and Vince sound so amazing live....this live album is one of the best I have ever heard.  To hear all my favorite YAZ songs after all these years is so exciting.  Allison's voice sounds older and more full...which gives the sounds a more brooding, melancholy, sound which I LOVE.  Don't miss this album if you are a YAZ fan.  The only gripe I have is that the 2 disc set could have easily fit on 1 disc....but what they hey just a small gripe for such a good album.

This is a wonderful double cd. The excitement of the Yaz Reconnected tour is captured here. Alison Moyet's voice is as powerful, clear and fresh as it was in the early 80s. Hearing the crowd go wild (which doesn't interfere with the performances) is goose-bump-inducing.
