**Q: What is the length of the laces?**
A: Long enough to put a double bow in then tuck the ends back through the laces when cycling. 
I have worn these trekking in Nepal, walking out and cycling. I would recommend them. As I have said before, I never rely on waterproofing even on the higher end shoes/boots. To maintain waterproofing you need to keep it up.

**Q: Are the insoles removable ?**
A: There should be, but they were missing in the pair I got. Beneath where the insole should be there is a stitched sock type liner that cannot be removed but can bunch up. Not an issue if you add your own insole.

A: no, there is no hole developing...shoes are good

Having many pairs of Merrell shoes I know that they are generally comfortable straight out of the box. These are no exception. They seem fairly sturdy with quite a chunky sole. Grip is good.I wore them on the day of arrival for a long dog walk in damp weather and my feet were perfectly dry. Have worn them since in very wet weather and can vouch for them being totally waterproof.The only upgrade I have made is replacing the insoles, which I do on all my shoes, due to suffering from a foot problem. These are true to size. Liked them so much I have now got them in 2 different colours.Will update the review if anything changes. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
