The wheel fits perfectly. I read a couple reviews that said this steering wheel flexes. I am kind of a beefy guy. If I tug on it hard or put a lot of my weight on it it will flex a tiny bit but by no means is it an issue. It is very firm even though It may not have a metal core like more expensive wheels. It does not feel like I could break it. Also, the center hub fits securely. No problem with falling off at all. I really like he textured, no slip finish. I highly recommend this boat wheel.

Tried the colored sporty ones initially made of both aluminum and rubbery plastic. Did not feel good in the hands. Not this wheel. It is solid and feels good in your hands. Works well on an old Nitro Bass boat with newly installed hydrolic steering.

I purchased this for use with a new steering system on my boat. Mechanically, it works as expected... its hard to go wrong when all you have to do is turn. The softer grip is nice, and feels good in the hands. All parts were included, as expected, and the directions to install the helm were easy to follow. Removal of the old helm, installation of the new helm and steering wheel took my about an hour. And a lot of that was fighting with removing the old steering wheel. My one disappointment with this product is that the center cover that goes over the bolt will NOT stay on. This was the case from the very start before I even put it on.
