Exciting and Prophetic
If you are Christian, you need to read this book. If you are Jewish, you need to read this book. If you are neither, you need to read this book. If you are like me, I like to underline and make notes when reading something significant. I probably should have just underlined this whole thing. Bible prophesy is an area where you have to be careful to absolutely verify the facts written by the actual 'Word of God', The Bible. This book is a well researched piece of work that is laced throughout with Biblical truth. In addition to that, it also contains scientific and secular truths that are also completely documented. The explanation of the 'blood moons' in itself is nothing less than astounding. God's people, the Jews have been an oppressed people since the beginning of time, but they are 'The Apple of Gods' Eye.' Without a doubt God loves them as His chosen people, and no matter what powers that have tried and continue to try to eliminate them, Israel will survive. Learn the significance of the 'blood moons' in Jewish History. Look at the significance in the Jewish future. John Hagee, like anyone else is not infallible. You may not agree with all of his determinations, but you can surely agree with God's Word. This is a wonderful, wonderful read and I urge you read it, study it, go to your Bible to verify it and then 'look to the skys' into God's creation of the heavens, the stars, the sun, the galaxies and of course the moon.

Definitely worth reading!
There are 3 sections to the book, Section 3 is entitled "The Four Blood Moons" and is primarily where Pastor Hagee describes what has happened during these rare events. The first two sections are very important to get the "whole picture" and to fully understand Hagee's information and his thoughts about both the previous AND the upcoming four blood moons which also had/have a total solar eclipse occurring within their sequence. Finding out that the next Tetrad starts in 2014 & ends in 2015, and realizing that time period contains a Shemittah year (Sabbatical year) makes it even more intriguing. I love to study prophecy and this book is definitely thought provoking. It contains a lot of good information, much of which I was either not aware of or had never put together. Example, 2001 was a Shemittah - everyone remembers 09/11/2001, so was 2008 when the stock market collapsed 777 points [on 09/29/2008]. I can understand Pastor Hagee's recommendation that we pay attention - as he states in the book, only three Tetrads linked to Jewish history/feasts have occurred in the last over 500 years and that these were the only Tetrads that had a total solar eclipse somewhere within the series of blood moons - BUT even more intriguing is the fact that the upcoming Tetrad is the only one containing a Shemittah year. I like Hagee and although I don't always agree with everything he says, perhaps he is right, maybe the heavens are God's high-definition billboard. What he says in this book is worth considering.

.
I liked this book, Four Blood Moons, because it is scholarly and accurate about the end times and the rapture of Jesus Christ. The four blood moons refer to specific times in the Jewish calendar and their significance to prophecy. Hagee shows discrepancies in interpreting passages in Revelations. A must read for our times

Good Balanced View
Four blood moons in a period of two years is not that rare. But four blood moons at the same time as the Passover and Feast of Tabernacles with a solar eclipse in there is extremely rare. The last three times it happened, were 1493-94, 1948-49, and 1967-68. All three times this happened, some major event happened to the Jews and the world changed because of it. So it's no wonder the Christian community is going crazy with all kinds of predictions since it's happening again in 2014-15. I was interested to hear what Hagee said about this phenomenon since I heard so much weird stuff about it. I also heard that Hagee predicts this is the time when the Rapture will happen. I was pleasantly surprised that Hagee did not do that in this book nor did he make all kinds of predictions. He said in the last chapter, "The coming Four blood Moons of 2014-15 does not mean the Rapture is going to happen during that time. Why? Because the Rapture could happen at any moment." What Hagee did do in this book is to give us a Scriptural reference for the signs of the time and a pre-tribulation Rapture, and a little history about the events that happened the last three times we had this event. He also gave some history about the Jewish people. He connected the dots to all of this to conclude that something is about to happen although he didn't proclaim to know what and that we should all be ready by making Christ our Lord. This book was very balanced and accurate theologically without getting into nonsence. It also was informative and interesting. It did however have some sections that were a bit sluggish and redundant. Overall it was a good read that I recommend for anyone who wants to learn more about the four blood moons.

Skipped he rapture chapter as it is a theory
I bought this book because in the book of Joel and the book of Acts that refers to the book of Joel it is predicted that the moon will turn red and the sun dark when the spirit is poured out on Christ men, women, maids, and maidservants. "At the end of the Age". I skipped over the rapture chapter because the word (rapture) is not in the Bible, the "End of the Age" is, and Christ`s coming for a second time will be the "End of the Age" where as the rapture theory has to have Christ coming at least 3 time which does not line up with the word of God. This book was laced with humor, then again God in Psalm chapter 2 sits on his throne and laughs at his foe. It has many historical facts and I can understand why the Christians can not convince the Jew that Christ was the Messiah. Christianity has been infiltrated by Babylonian idolotrus practices such as Ishtar a.k.a.(Easter) and nor Queen Esther, associated with the Day of Purim which is observed by the Jew from being saved from Hamman`s noose. Sun-worship day (Sun-day worship services) Instead of the God given Sabbath,as Sunday is the first day of the week and saturday is the 7th day on which God rested, the same God of the Jew and Gentile.(Romans chapter 11) This infiltration with Peter cotton tail hopping down the playboy bunny trail is an atempt of satan to distract everyone from the Passover as 1st Corinthians 5:7-8 states he has become our Passover lamb.(Exodus chapter12)"Behold the (lamb) of God who takes away the sin of the world." Christianity has been greatly deceived, there is no ash wednesday,Good friday in the Bible no Easter Sunday,as Passover was on a wednesday and as was the custom the Jews were to be buried before sunset on the day the died and Christ dying on passover was taken off the cross buried and wed. Night to thursday at sunset gave one night and one day all the way to saturday at sunset when Christ rose which adds up to what Christ said(Luke 24) about 3 nights and 3 days in the tomb, which you can not add up from the counterfeit Good friday until Easter sun-day. Anti-Christ is a counterfeit.Pretending to be the true messiah.Do not be deceived Matthew 24.

Four Blood Moons: Something will change.
This is one of the most interesting books I have ever read. I intend to read it at least one more time and then I will want to keep it and refer back to it from time to time. Whether you are a believer or not this is a must read. The reason I say that is; when these blood moons occur, pay attention to what happens around the world, especially in the state of Israel and/or other countries that hate the Jews. I believe one of the reasons the United States has been so blessed over the years is the fact we have supported God's people from the very beginning. As we pull back from supporting Israel you will see more strife in the U.S. I think the author of this book will agree with me. The current President of the U.S. say's he supports Israel but, he bad mouths them too much He does not support them like past Presidents. This book is an eye opener and I hope and pray that the folks who read this book stop and reflect on the things that have happened in the past when these Blood Moons occur. They are a signal from God and not a coincidence.

Why Four Blood Moons is Erroneous
Having completed 4BM I have a few comments. John Hagee is a brilliant guy, a superb preacher and obviously did a lot of research. I found his background material very informative and useful. One of the main problems I have with his theory is that he is extremely muddled on what is literal and what is figurative or symbolic in his prophecy interpretation, particularly with regard to the book of Revelation. I do not believe, for example, that there will be 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will evangelize Israel and the world after the church is raptured from the earth. Nor do I believe that the two witnesses of Revelation 11 are Moses and Elijah. Only about 25% of the book of Revelation is not symbolic, and that is in the first three chapters in John's addresses to the seven churches of Asia. The vast majority- from chapter 4 thru 22- of Revelation is incredibly symbolic; these things are representative of something else, and in order to figure out what they represent you have to study OT prophecy as well as the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, as well as several other places. I used to believe exactly what Hagee apparently believes until I really started looking deeper into the scriptures and connecting things together. There are still many things I don't understand, and I will admit that. However, in light of what the rest of the Bible says, Hagee's interpretation could not possibly be correct. He extracts a great deal of scripture from context and really runs with it. There is only one way to be saved whether you are Jew or gentile and that is through obedience to the gospel of Acts. Hagee obviously does not believe this, but you have to remember that he was raised in the Assemblies of God, which is similar to the baptist faith only they believe in baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Years ago he dropped out of the AG but he still retains their doctrine. (For what its worth, you might google up some material on his background. About 40 years ago there was some kind of scandal involving him- I don't know the details- and he resigned from the AG. He was pastor of another church at the time, from which he resigned and started another church.) I would submit that if Hagee were to be as passionate about the gospel of Acts as he is about the nation of Israel he could do a tremendous work for God. He would also lose a lot of his followers. Let me emphasize that I have a lot of admiration for John Hagee; he is a great preacher, teacher and administrator, is very aggressive in pursuing what he thinks is the work of God, and I would recommend that any preacher visit his church and see his style- they could really benefit from it. My objection has to to with his DOCTRINE. And even though I disagree with his position on prophecy (e.g. 4BM), I do not think that necessarily has anything to do with salvation. Having said all of that let me also state that I am not opposed at all to supporting Israel, if for no other reason than that they are the descendants of Abraham-Isaac-Jacob, and the promises God made to Abraham may well have some kind of application here. I'm not sure. Read Galatians 3 (emphasize vs 7) and see what you get out of it. They are also a democracy in the midst of a bunch of crazies, and that also is a reason to support them. As far as national Israel currently being God's people I cannot believe that. Those Jews who believed the gospel as it was preached by the apostles in the book of Acts are what the scriptures refer to as the "remnant" and under the new covenant are the Israel of God, as is every one else who obeys it. Read Romans 2:28-29 and Galatians 6:6. Again, there may be some application to the nation because of the promises to Abraham. But one thing we know for sure is that to be a true child of Abraham you must obey the apostolic message. When the scriptures refer to the "elect" they are referring to spiritual Israel, not to the nation. This is an example of taking things out of context and trying to make them mean what you want them to mean. Let me take it a little further, although I am certainly not going to try to give a complete thesis on what I believe. Suffice it to say that in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 when Jesus is speaking of the days being shortened for "the elect's" sake (See Matthew 24:22), He is not speaking of national Israel during the end times of 2014 and 2015, He is referring to the the church in Jerusalem and Judea escaping form the atrocities that were to about to inflicted on national Israel by the invading armies of Titus in 70 A.D. He is telling the apostles that in a few years things are going to get so bad that the church better get out of there while they still can. That is why I sent you that outline I made some time back in order to show the sequence of events in context. I personally believe that that outline coincides with the events of Revelation, although in Revelation they are symbolic while in the gospels Jesus was depicting them in a literal sense. One more thing- when the scriptures speak of the "coming of the Lord" they are not referring to it as a singular event like Hagee and many others do; they are referring to it more as an "invasion". Many are the scriptures that establish this concept. Remember, the invasion at Normandy was not a singular event, but happened in stages over a period of time. The "coming of the Lord", if we see it as a spiritual "invasion" occurs in stages as well. Jesus "came" when the Holy Ghost was poured out. Another stage was when He "came" in judgment in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70A.D. Another was when the writings of the apostles were consolidated and sealed, after the last apostle died, into what we know as the New Testament. It is my strong opinion that there will be an ultimate culmination that will be characterized by the second visible manifestation of Jesus Christ on earth. Just prior to that, however, there will be revival that will dwarf anything we have ever seen. I personally believe that there will be a global demonstration of the power of God that will parallel what transpired in the book of Acts, only it will be world wide in its intensity. I believe that the truth of Acts will permeate virtually every country on earth, including Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. But all that is in the future, and most likely not in my lifetime. Right now it seems like something absolutely impossible, but when the conditions are right it will happen. In fact, it can't help but happen. So that's where I am in all this. I am not saying John Hagee is wrong per se- maybe something will happen in 2014-2015, because history, as we know, has a way of repeating itself, and God can do what He wants to whenever He wants to do it. I feel however, that there is much bigger picture than what he is describing and that it all has to fit together. The important thing is Jesus Christ is ever and always our "blessed hope" whether we die tomorrow or live a hundred years. The warnings of Jesus are intended for every believer to always be watching and praying and to not let the oil in our lamp go out. Spiritual vigilance is a mandate for every child of God at all times. Glenn T. Howard, Jr.
