Can i run 6 4ohm 6.5 and 1 2ohm sub

I believe you could put a couple of the 4ohm in parallel and have a 2ohm load. For stereo you would do 2 lefts together and 2 rights together. You would have to play with the controls on the amp to get the volume balanced. I'd study the controls on it before you buy it. Normally with this amp you would drive 2 channels from your receiver and use this for the other 5.

Or should i get a wetsound htx-4 for my boat? Cant decide

Sound is amazing on my boat. 10” sub and 4 6.5 this amp drives them perfect. Only complaint is is runs really hot.

what wiring kit should i get for this amp in a boat? will it hook up to a sony cdx-gt270mp?

I used the boss 8 gauge wiring kit found here on Amazon. The manual recommended 4 gauge but this amp will carry the 8 gauge just fine with no problems. Also yes the Sony cdx-gt270mp will work just fine. If you have just 2 speakers and a sub just run the pre out cables ( red = right, white =left) to either the A or B channel on the amp. Make sure you run your speakers to the corresponding speaker inputs to match channel you used. Since your receiver don't have a sub pre out the amp will automatically power your subs too off whatever channel you used to power the regular speakers. Just make your your sub is hooked up to its corresponding speaker input and switch on amp is in the A/B position and not Sub position. If you are running 4 speakers and a sub then you will need 2 y splitters ( 1 male to 2 females) to convert the 2 pre outs coming from your receiver from 2 pre outs to 4 and then run 2 to the A channel and 2 to the B channel. Run speakers to corresponding speaker inputs as shown in diagram. Amp will still power your subwoofer as stated above. You don't need a pre out for sub. Once again just make sure you hook sub up to corrosponding speaker input and make sure switch on amp is switched to A/B instead of Sub. Diagram that comes with amp is very easy to understand. Any other questions just ask.

Can i run the sub at 4ohms and the rest of speakers at 2ohms or will that ruin the amp? I only have a dual 2ohm sub and 4 front and 4 rear speakers.

Not in the way you think you can. If I understand you clearly, you have a sub that has a "dual" 2 ohm voice coil. This sub would typically have two leads running to it to provide power. This Amp only has a single lead at 300 watts. You safest bet is to purchase a new sub. I like the Rockford Fostgate P1s and they are cheap on here. (well under 100 bucks) This is a great amp that provides very clean power. You other option is to purchase a separate amp is run two channels to your current sub.

These amps far exceeded my expectations. I’ve built multiple systems over the years but this amp was perfect for my needs. Great price point and plenty of power. Just added a 3rd one on my boat. Crystal clean amplification, no noise, great filters and adjustments dials. So versatile, so many different ways to configure to fit your needs. Saw a couple of bad reviews complaining of heat generated and find both of mine run relatively cool. I think people who have heat problems are running improper ohm loads over working amp. I’m running three kicker marine 10s, four 8’s, and six 6.5’s off 3 of these. Thing is banging!

I am powering four kicker speakers and one 10” sub in my Jeep TJ. This amp packs power in a compact size! I was able to build a bracket and mount this amp underneath my Jeep TJ steering column with the adjustments facing outwards for a completely hidden install. The input and filter adjustments allowed me to dial in the sound just right. If you are shopping for a Jeep TJ amp I highly recommend this amplifier to power 4 speakers and a sub. Makes it so you can hear your stereo clearly cruising at highway speeds with the top off. I am sure it would be great for any other vehicle as well.

I was looking for an amplifier for our Polaris RZR that I could power the 4 mids as well as the subwoofer from so that I did not have to run two amplifiers. Well, this fit the bill perfectly! It's the same physical dimensions of the Kenwood amplifier I was going to use just for the subwoofer and only a little bigger than the MTX amplifier I was already using to power the mids. All I had to do was making a new shelf bracket, drill four holes and then use self tapping screws to mount it. After that, I wired it all up temporarily to make sure I was good, then went back and put connectors on each wire to make sure they were unable to split out since this is in an off-road toy. The bass is awesome for being in an open area (paired with an SSV Works subwoofer enclosure and a Kenwood Excelon 10" subwoofer). I am VERY pleased!

Installed this amp on my 21 foot ski boat after the last cheap one crapped out. This one works well but I wish it had more output. It's hooked up to 4 jbl 6", 2 Polk audio 3" tweeters and an 8" bazooka. Sound quality is great but the sub doesn't thump as much.
