This set includes a large spatula, spoon, slotted soon, cake server (typical triangular shape with one side serrated) and a smaller spatula that might be useful for serving brownies or sheet cake. My first thought upon seeing the tools was that they were very large, and my second impression was that I didn't like Cake Boss printed so largely on the handles. I think these seem more useful for a professional kitchen, but it my home kitchen they just seem oversized. I don't like the feel of the metal, as the edges (especially the spoons) seem slightly rough, like they were punched out, but not polished. I can see where a more masculine type, or someone who enjoys using oversized kitchen tools, would appreciate this set. It's not for me, and it's one of the few kitchen utensils sets that I won't even bother trying in the kitchen, but will donate. It is possible they would be useful in an outdoor grilling situation, but I just prefer smaller tools with no logo.

I've never watched the show Cake Boss, so I had no idea what to expect. Overall these are satisfactory, but not great.These utensils are huge. Not big enough for the grill, but bulky for every day use and hard to store in a drawer. I like thick insulated handles, although the Cake Boss logo annoys me. It's fine you have an endorsed celebrity product, but I don't need see your logo every time I cook.They're also not dishwasher friendly, which is a big game stopper for me. I don't have time to always was things by hand and since they don't have non-stick coating, they are harder to clean than other utensils.I'm not sure who the target market is for these except maybe die-hard Cake Boss fans. I'd suggest buying other products for the average person.

I like the way these tools feel in your hand. They are sturdy and well balanced. The rubberized grips are comfortable, and the ergonomic design will keep hand strain to a minimum. Even better the rubber grip keeps your hand from burning if you are stirring a big pot of soup, custard, or pralines. I also like the brush stainless steel look of the tools. The brushed look doesn’t show scratches and ware as much as the shiny metal versions.There is a lot to like about this Cake Boss Kitchen Tool set, but the one thing I don’t like is the logo. It is bold and bright and (JMO) overly large. It is like a 24/7 commercial. If it weren’t for the logo this kitchen set would be attractive enough to use at Thanksgiving or Christmas, but because of the logo it has to be kept in the kitchen and off the buffet table.So if you need a sturdy, serviceable set of kitchen spoons, spatulas, and servers (and you don’t mind big logos) this Cake Boss set would be ideal.

Great price and terrific quality. I bought this set as a Christmas present for my mom and she absolutely loves them. She originally saw them on QVC, but Amazon happily sells them for a fraction of the price. Great tools for a bargain of a price.

Several things about the Cake Boss Stainless Steel Tools Collection 5-Piece Kitchen Prep Tool Set, Red, continue to impress me with each use. The 13-Inch Slotted Spoon, 13-Inch Solid Spoon, and the 13-Inch Slotted Turner are the right length to keep you safely away from being too close to heat, steam, and hot grease and food splatters. Also, the handles and the actual tool section are all one piece, and they don't bend when stirring or moving heartier, thicker soups or other foods. The Brownie Spatula and the Cake Server make quick, neat work when cutting and serving sweet treats. The red, "rubberized" handles are easy to grip. While the manufacturer states that the tools are "heat safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit", they also recommend hand washing, which some people may consider a drawback. Overall, I would say these kitchen tools are well-made and useful, and they add a welcome touch of color and "Cake Boss" style to the kitchen.
