Review: Works great! - I have a small water fountain project where I used some leftover bricks and mortar. I noticed that even though I fully cemented the inside bowl, the cement is still way too porous and water would seep out of the bowl pretty fast at a rate of about 2 gallons per day. I searched desertcart for a solution and came across this Drylok. The price seems reasonable and I didn't need much so I gave it a go. I am very surprised at how effective this is. I mixed the powder inside the bowl itself and used a paintbrush to spread the (rapidly drying) mixture around the perimeter. This thing dries really fast (5 mins). I was able to fill it up with water just 10 minutes later and it's been holding up fine since. No more water seepage and whatever water is lost is just lost from evaporation, which is very little. Just to give you an idea of how much powder you will need for your project: This bowl has 8 gallons capacity (about 15"x15"x12 interior dimension) and I used half the bucket of Drylok to cover it. I also used a paintbrush to get an even coverage because there's no way you can smooth out an inside bowl with a trowel with a rapidly drying cement like Drylok. Overall I'm very satisfied with how this turned out. I will use the leftover powder in another fountain, it works so good.
Review: Water tight seal on basement wall. - Powder form. Come with measuring scoop and easy to mix. Sets up in about 5 minutes. Mix only small amounts so can be applied before setting. Dries black in color and very hard. Make sure your application is formed the way you want it. Can not scrape or change once set. Can paint over but requires several coats. When dry it looks like it will be very waterproof. 4 lb. Container does not cover a very large area. Probably not economically feasible to cover large areas. I put a thin coat of this product on area. Then finished filling in with concreat patch. This allowes you to cover a bigger area and works well.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: do you mix it**
A: Yes! Mix it With water and it worked very. Well mix it to a putty clay consistency and it patch the hole for good.

**Q: does Drylok work on the joint where the wall meets the floor**
A: Christmas week 2015 I used this product knowing a forecasted 11 inch rain was on our way as was holiday company. I had a single vertical seem fracture that went down to the floor level. I made sure the wall and floor line was bone dry, lightly "V" chiseled and applied the product ALONG THE VERTICAL LINE AND THE ADJOING FLOOR LINE. The rains did come-- as forecasted-- the wall AND CONTIGUOUS FLOOR AREA held. Guests arrived, we had happy holidays and a dry basement from then up to the present day.

Caution, I had used this product earlier on the same seam, still WET from an earlier rain, and it DID NOT HOLD. So my advice is to make sure it is VERY DRY before you apply.

**Q: Can this product be used to reattached a loose veneer rock to outside of house**
A: I don't think so. But Home Depot sells a tube of caulk for just this type of use. I have used it to reattach loose brick and slate. Sorry, I don't remember the name of it but you should be able to find on one of the aisles easily enough. It is for adhesive uses on concrete, etc.

**Q: Can I use to repair cement laundry sink?**
A: Probably depends on how bad the damage is. If it's just a crack it should be no problem. If it's larger than that I would use a screen mesh with the cement. That's what I did with my water fountain that had larger cracks.
