Got this as a gift for my father-in-law and I’m really happy with it. It arrived early which made me feel better as I was worried it would arrive and I’d have no time to find a new gift if it was bad, but I like it. Thank you! If you want my opinion more in depth I made a pro and con list. The cons are just little things, nothing too negative that would make you not purchase this. The pros: - Etching looks really good. Clear and no obvious defects. The knife has a deep etch while the box is a lot shallower (a good thing). - The box feels and looks nice. It’s sturdy. Fully stained inside and out. Kinda wish it had mini legs or pads on the bottom, but it’s good as is. - I did test out how sharp it was and it seems good enough out of box. If you have a good sharpener I’d probably sharpen it once before use though. The cons: (Mostly just little things that aren’t big deals and/or easy to fix) - The mechanism that keeps the knife open wasn’t working, causing the knife to close with the slightest pressure. After wiggling the thing a few times it works like normal again. - The lid was very hard to get off. I put it on and took it off several times and it’s getting easier to open up. - One side of the box has this weird sparkly thing on it that makes it look like it’s missing the staining on it.(You can see it in the first two photos) No clue what it is or how to cover it. It’s not a big deal in natural or dim lighting but with flash it’s noticeable. - If wanting to remove the cushion from the box, I’d advise against it. It’s been glued down and lifting the cushion leaves some really ugly spots. - The knife had a little bit of dust on it, probably from shipping, so give it a light wipe and it’s good to go.

Got several for folks I work with. The quality and heft are impressive. Very nice looking as well. The engraving was perfect and the delivery very quick even during holiday season! I already ordered more ans will again for birthdays etc. Thanks for a great product and excellent service!

Box is beautiful could be deeper engravment of the name . Knife blade he didn't like I would buy again I thought it was a awesome set.
