Not sure
Been using for a little while whilst it does help remove stuff out of your lungs like tar and flem I don't see any other health benefits. Bit pricey for just receiving a plastic tube and metal ball.

12 days trial / experiment
The Tilcare comes with 3 weighted balls and therefore different resistance. There are several products with similar action (OPED) and prices. I have now tried this product twice daily for 12 days before writing a review . There are mixed reviews on this and other similar products as one would expect. In terms of ease of use - it took me about 3 days to achieve the correct vibration (Oscillation)with the weighted ball, this was mainly due to achieving the correct position of the product. So please from my perspective do not give up , persistence paid off in which I finally achieved the correct position and angle and breath for maximum vibration. When I started my peak flow was 340 which was low for me , I was having problems coughing up the mucus exhausting myself in the process. Towards the end of the trial period my peak flow was 500... Over the days as I began to master the technique it became easier to remove the mucus easier . I have not had to use additional medication throughout and now feel so much better with my breathing and increasing level of exercise. I hope this has helped those who read this - the key word is to achieve the max oscillation and therefore vibration to release the mucus, which requires patience and persistence.

I bought this product
I bought this product based on the reviews of it Its made from plastic, contains three ball bearings, of various sizes The theory is, the stronger your lungs get, the bigger the ball bearing you put in also, the more you use it the stronger your lungs get, just like a muscle, use it or lose it I've been using it a month or so, the amount of mucous my lungs are producing is a lot more, I still cough and bring up phlegm, but at least its clear (sorry but I have to spit it out, its like wall paper paste) I dont know if it is supposed to produce more mucous (or phlegm)from my lungs, but it does I would assume you use it as long as possible or until your lungs are strong enough to blow up a water bottle, or kids balloons I would recommend it, but some people wouldnt, but I guess it works different for different people For what it is, I think its over priced, you could just get a stack of balloons and use them, it works on the same principle, it exercises your lungs in the same way I showed it to my consultant, he said its an interesting concept and if you are happy using it, carry on, if it works and makes you feel better, use it, but that is my opinion (the consultant) I cant argue with him or his opinion I'd say, buy it, give it a try for a month, if it font work for you, return it I'm keeping mine Derrick
