I’ve bought several of these in both lengths. They seem more robust than other charging cables. They look good and seem to last a long time. Recommended.

Bought as a replacement for our apple charger and whilst it does the job we did find that it didn’t charge as quickly as we hoped. However it does the job and the long cable was a bonus. Would recommend for a spare charger.

First day impressions - to be updated in due time... Now, usually when I look for a cable, instead of buying one of the myriad of unknown hard to pronounce brands I'd buy an Amazon Basic cable and so far, that's been a solid choice. This one didn't disappoint either. The cable is on first touch somewhat stiffer than what you're used to, but as you'd see on the photos, it is ticker too. Now, I'd choose thick and stiff before thin and flexible (ah, the words...) any day - it feels much sturdier and reliable. The braiding of course is making these cables stiffer to begin with, but compared to Apple's own braided version, it's reassuringly thicker too! The Lightning connector pads aren't gold plated, but they aren't on most manufacturers now, including latest Apple braided cables, so we can live with that. USB port pins seem to be though. It has nice cable strain relief added on both ends, which honestly beats me how Apple forgot to add on their braided version as seen on the photos and we all know how that's going to end. The big pleasant plus here is that both connectors have metal shells - feels incredibly more sturdier than a plastic one and they are with good thickness too. At the time of purchase, cost difference between this and the basic rubber plastic version of Amazon Basic Lightning cable was only couple of quid, so it's excellent value for money too! On the photos you'd see one of my old original Apple rubber cable that started decomposing in preparation for the inevitable while I'm still using it - this one my hopes are it will never get to that state.
