Most of the time you simply run the wire from your battery through that same grommet. You could always take it to a shop that does car-audio installs and just ask them to run that wire through for you if you would like to save money and do the work yourself. Because I snaked my battery cable through the engine compartment and through the outside of the car, 17 ft of cable was a tight fit. I could’ve used an extra 3ft to make it perfect.
