Subtly-smooth sophistication in every drop!
This Yerba is special. It’s like the plastic surgeon who does such a stellar job you are left second guessing if work was even performed! It is subtle, yet powerful. Like a tide that slowly builds into a momentous wave, it doesn’t bring “peaky” highs, it just warms you gradually with an embrace that uplifts and energizes. The flavor profile is quite mellow—-hints of Green hay, and a neutral taste that neither overpowers nor underwhelms. While I do drink it daily, I liken it to that rare or fine wine that is best served when the mood strikes. My “go-to” Yerba for years has been eco-teas unsmoked, and I do really like that brand, however I feel the quality of this Yerba is superior (and it is reflected in the price). Really a fun and unique Yerba definitely worth sampling and savoring.

The Matcha of Mate
Maybe you are interested in Yerba Mate but you've heard of the cancer link and perhaps started looking for "smoke free" mate? If so, you hit the jackpot! This style of Brazilian Yerba Mate is called a Chimarrao, and it consists mostly of vibrant green powdered mate with the inclusion of some stem chunks (maybe 10% or even less). When I say bright green, I mean, bright green like fresh matcha. It comes vacuum sealed in a solid brick, and is packaged well to preserve the wonderful freshness of this product-also, be sure to jam the entire thing in a gallon ziplock freezer bag and keep it in the fridge to maintain that freshness. This Yacuy mate is much different from the smoked/aged mates you might be used to-it is fresh, potent, and delicious with no trace of smoke-you don't have to worry about polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with this product. Ecoteas is the primary "non smoked" mate, and I like them well enough-I have a bag in my cupboard now-but I would never buy it again after trying this brand-this is the holy grail of "green" mate for me. You will enjoy it!

Perfect erva mate for chimarrão
I’m very sensitive to caffeine, and being originally from southern Brazil, I really missed having chimarrão every day. Regular erva-mate usually gives me the jitters and anxiety, but not this one! It’s smooth, organic, and tastes amazing. No side effects at all, and I’m so happy I can find it here in the U.S. Highly recommend!

Awesome, I found what I'm searching for.
Pros: This is excellent Mate, very fresh and green, the effect of energy is slow build up and long lasting, it literally killed my hunger cravings, positivity and motivation is pretty good, highly alkalizing to the body, i'm also using this as a pre workout supplement!! Cons: it's little pricey than other products on the market, it's hard to brew as it contains fine powder that will settle in the bottom of your cup like green goo if you are brewing through a tea strainer, it's not that big of a problem though. I recommend this product, I will buy it again, the 2 pack is more discounted i will go for that next time.

It's not yerba mate
This isn't the standard Argentine yerba mate. It's from Brazil, so I'm wondering if they have a different kind there? It's a fine powder that clogs most filters and bombillas, so I've started making it with a French press. It has noticeably lower caffeine content than the yerba mate I'm used to. I'd say the one redeeming quality is that it actually tastes good. It's less herbal and more earthy than yerba mate.

DELICIOUS
Mm where to begin... This is a whole new ballgame compared to Argentinian/Paraguayan brands. It’s a very fine powder similar to matcha, which is somewhat difficult to prepare. It’s amazing taste is like I’m sipping a forest. The bright green color is almost fluorescent in nature. I’ll be buying this again in the future.

Not very Flavorful
First time drinking Chimarrao, maybe it's just not for me. Was a bit of a learning curve in terms of preparation, but once i got the method down and was able to enjoy the erva mate i was slightly disappointed. Flavors are extremely subtle (coming from regularly yerba mate [Rosemante Especial]), and wish i could taste a bit more of the Chimarrao. I personally do not notice a difference in my energy levels as i did with yerba mate. I am going to try other brands as i hear Chimarrao is fresher and unsmoked, and should have better health benefits since the plant has not been aged/processed as much as yerba mate. But at the end of the day this tasted like warm water with a slight hint of tea.
