Works really well
If you are waking up with headaches you may be grinding your teeth at night. I had been getting headaches for more than 2 years and usually they lasted the whole day, no matter what I did or took I couldn't get rid of them. One day I noticed that I was having inner ear issues (the feeling of having water in my ear even though there wasn't). After I did a google search on that, I realized that TEETH GRINDING could be the cause (and headaches are the #1 symptom of this). I immediately went out and bought a mouth guard from CVS (Sleep Right brand) and it got rid of my headaches...FINALLY. There seem to be two types of mouth guards...ones that are more of a hard plastic and ones that are a soft silicon rubber. This Oral-B is the latter type and I very much prefer it. The Sleep Right guard I bought was more of a hard plastic. Both types have to be heated in boiling water to soften and then molded to your teeth. But this Oral B guard remains a soft rubber that you can bite down and it really does a good job of not only protecting your teeth from grinding, but it really prevents grinding because when you bite down on it you can't really move your teeth side to side. The plastic ones don't do as good of a job and can also get damaged easily, which mine did after only a few nights of wear. I am really happy with this Oral B guard and I'm going to buy a couple of them. Just be careful when molding not to bit down too hard or your teeth with go all the way through it. Follow the instructions carefully!

please save your money and dont purchase this
first of all it's non refundable which really sucks because its complete garbage. I read the reviews about it being small and i thought that sounded perfect because other night guards have been way too big for me. well it was just the right size for me but that also means it's probably the wrong size for you. that was actually the only good part about it and it snowballed downhill from there at a rapid pace...i followed the instruction exactly step by step and my first go went very badly. first bad sign was the tray that its in cracked in the microwave even though i put it in for the exact right amount of time. next the stupid thing got stuck in that tray and not even where it had cracked in the front it was the ends and the sides that were completely cemented down. it says to "remove gently" but this proved to be an impossible task. i had to pry it off the tray very carefully with a butter knife but i did get it off and i thought it looked good. no cracks or tears so i thought i beat the odds and achieved success. wrong. even though i lined everything up when i bit down for some reason it only fit half my teeth. its like the night guard itself somehow expanded and was too wide. i remembered seeing in the instructions it said to put it back in the tray and microwave it for slightly less time so i didnt panic and i did just that. this time it did not get stuck in the tray and i thought for sure i had it this time. but when i put it in again now it was way too loose it just falls right out unless i am biting down and in the process of trying to just hold it in my mouth i already have indents from my bottom teeth. seeing as my mouth is quite small and as such not the most powerful mouth in the world if this didn't work for me i truly can't see it working for any human adult. and tragically i am unable to get a refund so that was just a total waste of money. please save yourselves and learn from my mistakes 🥲

Follow the directions
This product works exactly as explained in the directions provided. My dentist said I grind my teeth and a night guard would prevent me from wearing down my teeth. My insurance wouldn't cover it even though it is medically necessary and I thought I could make one myself for cheaper. I can already tell it's working because the bite marks from tooth grinding I had on the inside of my mouth are almost gone completely. I suggest before attempting to make the night guard you read the instructions fully then watch videos on how other people did it. I did do some research and these are some things I came across that would be helpful when making the night guard and using it: - It is not suppose to cover all your back teeth because the area it covers prevents your back teeth from touching. - most teeth grinding happens at night, if you grind your teeth then it needs to be worn every night - if your microwave is low wattage you may need to heat the guard up longer. - after it's made you can reheat it up in the microwave and bite into it again if it doesn't fit correctly or doesn't feel comfortable. The guard is soft and flexible so it should fit snug but not tight. (If you have acid reflux and notice it is getting worse since the night guard then you need to redo the guard). - it will take a few nights of wearing it for your brain to adjust to having it in your mouth, so don't worry if you notice things like increase saliva, more grinding, headaches or other symptoms. I personally had more saliva and I swallowed some air (causing me to be gassy) that resolved after a few days. I didn't notice any changes in my preexisting acid reflux. - after you make the guard be careful removing the guard from the green tray because the green tray is thin and very easy to crack. I put it in a bucket of ice water and I used a piece of plastic floss to gently ease the guard out of the green tray. - don't clean the guard with tooth paste! some types of tooth paste may damage the guard. The best way to care for it is just to rinse it with cold water (hot water will deform it) and dry it with a paper towel or cloth, then store it in the white container it came with. That's all I have noticed so far with the guard, if anything changes I will update. Everything is going well with it and I do recommend it. It should be one size fits all but everyone's mouth is different. The price is fair so I think it is worth buying it, even if it doesn't fit right to you at least you have the experience of making the guard to know how to redo it or know how to chose another one.

This Oral B retainer is very easy to modeling. Previous I use $400 dental retainer for 4 years. You can see it nearly broken. Every time I need put in warm water and put in mouth. it is hard for dental retainer. Oral B retainer is much good smelling and softer than dental retainer. It doesn't need every time put in warm water before wearing. It is right size for me too, I follow instruction, put in mouth first to see feeling. Then put all white case with green retainer container into water of bowl. retainer case will fill with water. Then put in Microwave 1 minute then take out container , empty water. Take out retainer, put in month with green container for 2 minutes. Then take out for cooling 30 minutes with green contrainer. Use tiny stick to move green contain from oral retainer, then done. Very comfortable to wear , better then dental one (very hard, smelling even I use retainer cleaning pill every two weeks) ; Price is big different. I would lile recommend every one use it instead dental one which you can see dental retainer $400 (when new dental retainer is transpant color, but still hard, plastical smelling). I also buy cheaper night guard for emergency use. BUT I like Oral retainer it is very comfortable, it solve my grinding problem at night.

Was hesitant to try but since it’s only a fraction of the price of a custom make piece, so gave it a try. Its really simple mould and easy to get used to. Will be getting another as a spare.

It's a faulty product. The guard wouldn't come out of the case at all.
