Works well on ram 1500. Firm ride but helps with nose dive and side to side roll.

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 6.5' bed. These are perfect direct replacements. There are cheaper shocks available for sure but you get what you pay for with shocks. I was looking at some Rough Countrys but the dust covers were an extra cost and it was unclear as to if they would fit the shocks. So decided on these. At the time I was looking, I was able to find one that was a unused return (totally spacing what that part of Amazon is call) and a new one. By doing this they dost came out only a few bucks more then the RC. As for the shocks, they are great. Granted the shocks that these replaced were shot. So even cheap shocks would fill good :) But you can tell these are quality made. My old shocks didnt bounce they just didnt absorb. These shocks are firm but not so much to negatively effect the ride. For me, I fill no difference in the ride cept now it doesnt rattle my teeth when I hit a bump in the road and the change in my console doesnt jingle. Here is a heads up for those putting these on like year Dodge Ram trucks. Buy a 4 to MAYBE 6 inch stubby 21mm open ended wrench. You can not change these out without it. I didnt have a 21mm open ended wrench. Bought one from HD that was $10 but it was way to long. I heated and bent the wrench to 90 degrees about 4 inches up for the end of the wrench. This allowed me to hold it secure but a stubby would work better.

Bought these for my 2013 Ram 1500 rear shock replacements. I needed to beef up my suspension and all the forums recommended these. For and install were good and easy. I found replacement bolts online as well. The ride feels good after a day, but I also added variable heavy duty spring coils and air bags. I’m sure there is some redundancy in performance.

The 2011 model 1/2 ton Dodge Ram is a little more difficult to install these. No room on top for wrenches, and gas tank is in the way. So had a professional shop install them. The Bilstein Shocks are a nice surprise. Road handling performance is night and day better, compared to my old worn out shocks after 100k miles. Smooth ride, but a little firm. You can occasionally find these on AmazonWarehouse for cheap - got both of mine for $52 bucks. (new in box, but box was damaged). Highly recommend.

Purchased these to replace a set of Rancho RS9000XL's on my 2016 1500 Ram. The fact I had to change shocks on this truck within seven (7) months because the Rancho shocks I had put on last fall failed is pretty annoying, but the ride these shocks give nearly makes up for the inconvenience. Hopefully these Bilstein's will last longer. I've seen some pretty interesting ways of getting to the upper shock nut on the Ram 1500's, including modifying a wrench and using an oversize crow foot on the nut, leaving it on until the next time the shocks are changed. I used a swivel-head ratchet and a 21mm (7/8) deep socket on the upper nut. A torque arm, extension and breaker bar would work too, they get into tight spots. Also helps to have an impact or second set of hands to loosen/tighten the hardware.

I tow a lot with my 2018 Ram and felt the rear was a bit on the lazy side when loaded down so I decided to upgrade to a set of these. I would call the difference in drivability to be night and day especially when not towing. You would want something like these to be stock over what you get on a 1500 Ram.

I replaced the original shock on my 2015 ram 1500 with these after almost 95k. The ride on my truck improved 100%. I highly recommend them if you are looking to replace your shocks. I will buy this brand again.

Put these on my 2015 Ram 1500 and was immediately impressed. Yes I’m aware I’m comparing them to 10 year old shocks but they are far better than the stock units just replaced with factory ones on my buddy’s truck.
