Carhartt Men's Loose Fit Washed Duck Insulated Active Jac

Brilliant jacket, I’ve been wearing it almost daily for work and out and about for about 3 months now. I did see some reviews from people saying theirs was covered in hair? Mine was fine. Also saw one that said theirs arrived in a bin bag, mine came in plastic Carhartt packaging.The coat is very warm, it’s a great fit on me (I’m 6’1”, about 170lbs and I ordered a large).The fabric is extremely durable, I’ve caught it on fencing/metal at work and it hasn’t even scratched. Some people might not like it because it’s kinda stiff, but it’s durable enough to last a lifetime.I saw some people saying that the inside pockets came away from the lining quite quickly, mine are fine but I can’t really comment because I don’t use these pockets at all.

Reading the 1 ⭐ reviews bare no relationship with the jacket I bought. Mine is thick, heavy, and feels great on. It's well made with not a stitch out of place. I sprayed it with Scotchguard which will help. It's an outdoor camping jacket for me, so I'll never wear it out. This is built for hard knocks and I'm totally happy with my choice. It's a great, tough, quality product.

100% would recommend. I'm 15 and got a M and should last a long time. it looks great and feels great and it also great for working in. and it's very warm.

2 STARS for sizing, 4/5 STARS for quality. The sizing is way off for UK buyers.I'm slightly taller than average medium UK clothing sized, and I would say this "M" sized jacket fits me like an "XL" or maybe even "XXL" from a UK brand. If I'd followed the size chart with my 42" chest I should have actually bought an "L", which I can only assume would have been like wearing a tent. I can currently easily fit myself and two pillows inside this "M" and zip it up.For reference this Carhartt "M" has a pit to pit measurment of 25" (so 50" chest), sleeve is 27" shoulder to cuff (34" collar to cuff), and front collar to waist is 30".The plus side is that this is actually a very nice jacket, it's warm, durable and well made overall.If you are all about that loose 90's skater style, or are looking for a durable non waterproof winter coat that you can wear four other coats under then maybe buy on size but otherwise I would size down.If I bought this again it would definitely be another size smaller, possibly two. So their chart says I'm a "L" (probably on the cusp of M/L) I should have bought an "S", and probably could have worn an "XS".
