It does not fit every Hot Wheels or Matchbox car to pull them by the wheel ramp, in case anyone was wondering. It fits some of them. But the wheel ramp is just slightly wider than the spread of about half of the Hot Wheels car wheels. I thought this truck was the same scale and was stoked to find a tow truck that could pull my son’s cars, but it only works for some. That being said, this is a great little truck in its own right. This simple toy is my 3 year old son’s favorite birthday present. He carries it with him everywhere.

I got this for my son for his birthday, who loves tow trucks. He LOVES this toy. The second day, he got the hook off. Not only was this a choking hazard, but he pulled the string out the little hole too. I tried to pull the string back through the hole to no avail. I was able to get it through, I will write how in case any other parents run into this problem. I took a piece of dental floss and slid it though the the small crack on the top where the string threads through. Then after I got the floss through, I tied the string on one end of the tow string then I pulled it though. Viola! Then I triple knotted the hook back on and I plan on putting some glue on it so this doesn’t happen again. Hope this helps a parent out.

So far a really fun toy, my son loves it but oh my goodness the sound is obnoxious. I thought the smoke detector was going off the first time he used it.

I bought this for my 4 year old son. It was smaller and less sturdy than I was expecting it to be. He loved it, but the tow line broke within a week and I had to make a new one myself.

It may work on some vehicles, but not the typical matchbox hot wheels type. It doesn’t even work with the one they sent along with it. It’s still pretty cute so I’m gonna keep it for a stocking stuffer for my grandson, but can’t recommend it if you’re looking for a smaller tow truck.

My daughter has three boys under 4. ALL of them love trucks. One of the boys received this tow truck as a gift but it caused arguments--and yes, my angels would fight over it. When my daughter asked me to buy the same one, I protested. She didn't want another because the first one was out of commission. She wanted it so the two biggest boys (still pretty little) could each have one. I get it. Lots of the little pieces are functional. Lights, sounds, hoist and cars to tow. . . it seems like everything works. The small size is perfect for those (usually) grubby little hands with fingers capable of getting into trouble with many things. So i sat down to play with them. . . we might need another one sooner than expected. :D

Gives a child control of pushing his tow truck around. The tow truck's doors open. The back tow bar goes up and down. And the lights and sound are an added feature. Plus the car has a pull back feature for running forward on its own. The car fits nicely in the wheel wells of the tow bar.

My son waited patiently for this tow truck only for it to break within 5 minutes of trying to play with it. The hook fell off as it was only tied on by a knot. I tied it again and it continued to untie and fall off. Not only that but the car that was sent with it isn’t even capable of being towed- which is the whole purpose of the toy. The car sits too low to be able to sit nicely in the tow hitch area. Not worth it, find another one!
