Kick your back yard up a notch!
Other than having to stomach six bottles of riesling to get blue bottles, these are awesome! I mounted them to my cedar privacy fence, and they hold the flame far enough away that there is no danger of scorching the wood. (Pro Tip #1: Empty out a gallon jug of $0.99 grocery store water and dump your bottles of riesling in there. The sugar content of the riesling will keep it drinking no worse than it already was for at least a week. Pro Tip #2: Soak the empty bottles in a sink or tub full of warm water mixed with a couple tablespoons of baking soda for 15-20 minutes, and the labels will come right off. Use Goo-Gone or similar to get any adhesive that is left.)

Good idea, nearly unusably cheaply done
Good idea, but not this product. It's very picky on bottle sizes, both by design (the curve of the loops) and as packaged, with very, very short screws. It is in fact basically impossible to mount ANY bottle alone unless you like dropping things a lot.Mounting is not threaded either. You have to finesse nuts and screws. Why? Cheap. The wood screws were so cheap I threw them away. Never seen so cheap. The welding is horrid. Two tacks, likely will rust or just break off sometime. Luckily it doesn't hold a glass bottle of fire, so no risk there. The weld is at an angle! Since the bottle hangs, it looks fairly stupid in it, also. The insert and cap seem nice but again are very, very, very specific sized and not to any of the dozens of bottles we have laying around, so the insert is loose, as is the cap.

The overall idea is awesome, but there are some easily fixable flaws to this product. What people are saying about the looseness of the hose joint in most bottles is true. However, this is easily fixed by purchasing larger #8 0-rings in the plumbing section of a hardware store. My other great issue with this product is the quality of the screws, in which two snapped before they were even completely screwed into the wood. I replaced all of them to ensure that they did not allow my torches to snap off and fall one day. Another minor issue would be tiny snuffer that could have been longer to create a better seal against the elements. While the aforementioned issues are minor, that is just the reason that they are major. The manufacturer could easily resolve these issues before the consumer has to contend with them. All in all I'm glad I made the purchase. I used two Bud Light Platinum (yuck!) bottles because they are blue and lighter and smaller than wine bottles. They look and work amazing!

Would have been great if it had been welded properly to begin with.
We purchased two torch kits and both ends that hold the neck of the bottle were welded on canted. Made for an extremely frustrated husband who had a hell of a time trying to screw it onto the beams of our pergola, which couldn't be screwed in level because it made the bottle tilt to one side. After a few swear words, he was able to get the bottle to sit level which meant that the bracket itself is slightly canted. Quite bothersome to your average perfectionist (me) but hoping no one will notice. Also, for those that asked if this would hold a whiskey bottle, which is what we initially bought the kit for, short answer is no, not if you're wanting a snug fit around the neck of the bottle. If you purchase different screws, and find a way to really hold that bottle in there, it'll work ( I used a self adhesive rubber strip). Will not order this product again.

Crooked just like most are saying!!!
I am very disgusted that I had to get one of the kits that the neck ring is NOT squared up with the wall mount, so yes, it's going to sit crooked. I bought mine to use as an indoor oil lamp so it will be very noticeable against a white wall!!! And even though I bought the black one, sure enough not only is it not black, which I was aware of, it's also the ugly domed one like you get with the silver kit, instead of flat top shown with the black kit - yes I noticed the difference of shape before I bought it. I CAN paint the outside of the snuffer but I CANNOT straighten the rod!!! Yes, I am perturbed all the way around. Also, I had to work very hard reshaping the little loop to hold the chain because mine is too short for the length from screw hole to the outer edge of the clamp edge; because of this issue, I mounted it on the back where the nut is so it's less noticeable that it's a bit mishapen to get the loop holes to match up with the bolt hole. Also, it would have been nice if the loop were a bit longer so the snuffer isn't touching the side of the bottle at all times. Oh! One more thing, the mounting plate is not uniform all the way around. a more squared off side and a more rounded side. And the side that is rounded has a funny notch on the one side. The welding job on mine looks like it has 3 tacks but then you see the crease in-between. Inside it will not hurt, but if I were to mount it outside, it probably would rust like others have said. But, I am confused why people say it's hard to clamp bottles in; I have just a standard ol' wine bottle and it clamped down just fine. Even though I am not using the tiki torch adapter, I went ahead and tested it and it fits inside the bottle just fine and the wick fits inside the brass ring just fine. The o-rings are a bit small though. Just don't forget to take the tape off both ends of the wick if you are going to use it.You can check my reviews, I am very rarely so disgusted with things, but this takes the cake. If I did work like this at my job, I would have been written up or fired! So no, it's not a value for the money! I am sitting here trying to decide if I ask for a straight replacement or just return it for a refund. Just NOT happy about this one at all!!!And one of the questions is if it's giftable...NO it's not; I would be embarrassed to give something in this condition to someone. Wouldn't even expect to find this at the dollar store for the shape it is in! I have said it before and will say it again - I don't care if you are making an expensive item that costs thousands or just a small 10-cent cardboard box, if you are going to make it, make it right!!! A little bit of pride goes a LONG way-including repeat customers (for self and gifts) and positive word of mouth (for new customers)! DOH!!!

Love them, but they will rust.
I love these, but there are certainly some short comings. The hardware, including the chain started to rust inside 30-days in the late GA summer. I’m waiting on a response from the seller. Amazon is replacing them, but I suspect that since 4 of 4 are rusting, it’s a design flaw. Disappointing, but they sure do make for a pleasant evening out on the patio. Be ready to replace with stainless steel hardware.

Only one issue
the bolts that come with it are to short, they hold it together fine. but when changing you have to completely disassemble it. I just bought longer bolts.

Easy to use and works great!
Have this on a pole near our picnic table and does a great job keeping mosquitos away. Easy to assemble and use with an old wine bottle.
