After delivering a posterior-positioned baby who required over three hours of pushing to make her grand debut, I was left in extreme chronic pain due to an anal fissure. Not pretty. Severely painful. So glad I found these again after searching every drug store I could find. I had a problem about 15 years ago with bleeding after bowel movements and tried every suppository on the market at that time, except for these initially, which I only tried after my gastroenterologist recommended them. They worked great, so much better than Prep H or Nupercainol, and fortunately I remembered the name, because I just started having the same problem after not experiencing for the last 15 years, and because retail drug stores used to sell these and now they don't, I almost gave up, and just figured they weren't made anymore. Thank goodness I thought to check Amazon for these, and got them 2 days ago and immediately threw the other brands I had bought right in the garbage even though I had a 1/2 box of each left, and started using these right away. I notice a difference after only 2 days, whereas with the other brands I was not getting better even after weeks of using those. The thing that seems to make these so much more effective in my mind, is that they stay in until you have a bowel movement, and lace around and throughout the stool, making it so much easier to pass, whereas the other brands just leak out the first chance they get, and seem to give you gas, which really causes them to leak out if you try to pass the gas, which of course causes stains in your underwear! Highly recommend these for not only hemorrhoids, but also helpful for a fissure!

If you have any problems in and around the rectum, this product is the very best therapy and relief giver you can find out there. I have a rectal fissure and am going to get it botoxed this May so it will heal. Meanwhile Calmol 4 nearly all natural oils, give wonderful relief from pain and itchy skin. Also the price is right approx $15 for 24 depending on were you buy it. Its well worth it to get real relief, I am a witness for you, believe me , I tried all the products that were available, and was considering essential oils ,and then found this, Calmol 4. HalleluYah. This product works... I have hemmoroids and it helps soothe the discomfort. Also the delivery was good, it came on time and was packed discretely so I don't have to be embarrass even if I had it delivered at work. Good product! Cons: well I buy this like every other month, so I wish it was cheaper... Lol.

These were recommended to me after I was diagnosed with a chronic anal fissure by my colorectal surgeon. They play a major part in ensuring comfort (diet being another major part) and prevention from re-tearing. When I realized they were difficult to find in regular pharmacies, I came to amazon and was so pleased I could get them here quickly and less expensive than what I was paying locally. I use them every day and they are completely safe.

The product has defects (cracks & crevices) that cause it to break apart when inserting. The entire box is either good or bad meaning better quality control is needed. While the product is effective the quality is inconsistent.

Just a much better product than Preparation H suppositories. Just wish it was sold locally. It is affected by heat but is still usable, just have to put it in the fridge for a while so it reforms into the right shape. Plan to stock up this winter so won't have to order during the summer.

Great product to protect if you have fissures, Hemorrhoids, constipation. I don't understand why more GI docs and surgeons don't recommend. Both of my new doctors did and it makes BMs a lot gentler, less bleeding. Use it at night and it melts. In the morning, it will all be released when you have a BM. Wouldn't use during the day because if you pass gas, the melted stuff can come out with it. Fast delivery.
