Career Coach: How to plan your career and land your perfect job

This is a fabulous book if you're are self disciplined and can work through. If you are totally stuck regarding your career choices either as a student or as someone wanting to change careers and find what you are meant to do with your life.My only reservation is that the book never draws together all the exercises.

I am on the last section of part 2, I am impressed with what this book has to offer, even if I am not in a mood for writing the questions ease your attention into the topic. Thankfully it's not one of those boring books that you wonder why you spend your money on. As I said I am not done yet, I will be back soon for more feedback

I have read many 100's if not 1000's of self help books over the last 17 years. I use this knowledge as a Peak Performance and Business Consultant. I am always reading new books within the self development field. I received this book via the Amazon Vine programme to review.Firstly the title could be a little misleading for some. This book is a holistic approach to career counselling and mental coaching techniques. What I mean by this is that it tries to analyse and help you realise a more positive mindset and self belief, whilst also giving you job searching, CV, and interview techniques. In my experience so many people fail at career change, job interview or even job applications, as they aim too low, given their innate abilities and don't adopt the correct strategies for job applications. This book will help you to stop this from happening. In essence most people do not analyse all their skills and form a career around what they can do best, but this book will help you identify what is needed. This book gives you a myriad of strategies with worksheets, that will help you define what you are good at, whilst increasing your self confidence to apply for jobs outside of your comfort zone.I think this is one of the best book I have read on this subject. You can see my other reviews for books on CV's and Interviews etc, but I have to say, this is the best "holistic" book I have now read on this subject.Recommended without reservation.

As many others in full time careers, working for corporations large & small, I have read numerous career books, many of them are written by ghost writers and not of much value.This 1 is exceptional!Why?Because it's written by a leading HR industry professional with many, many years of practical experience - I LOVE IT!!

This may suit many others, but I personally found it tedious as there were too many questions which actually put me off continuing with the exercises.

This book is full of great gems to help you move forward.

A very good book to read. Especially, the exercises - a must-do, otherwise, it's pointless buying the book. The exercise goes deep into your employment past, know where we go wrong and extract knowledge to add value to your C.V and so much more.

I bought this and really enjoyed the first half of the book. However after the first half the book assumes you know exactly what you want and if you don't, you're stuck from then onwards!
