Just enough spice and heat to wake up your tastebuds.

Before I bought this sauce, I asked about the heat from a scale of 1-10. Almost all that answered my question said an average of 8. To me a 10 would be the hottest pepper in the world, a 5 maybe an Habanero pepper, a 1 would be a jalapeño pepper. In all honesty, I didn’t consider it spicy. It could be that my tolerance is higher then others. I love spicy food. The BBQ sauce is good. Has a great taste to it. I might mix it in with some of my hot sauces I have to make it more spicier. I will probably buy again do to the flavor it has but not because it’s spicy.

Are you kidding me?! I've NEVER had better BBQ sauce than this!! It's addicting! I hope some day I get to pass through Kansas City, Missouri just to eat at Gates. We watched a special on a food channel about best BBQ places and it featured Gates. When they said they bottled their sauce I immediately searched for it on Amazon. Thank you to Gates for bottling their yummy sauce, and thank you to Amazon for selling it online! SCORE!!

This is my old standby favorite from the KC area. I deem it the best of the best from years of eating my way through the many rib joints in and around Kansas City. I love having it available through Amazon while living in a market area that doesn't have a good grip on the nuances of what constitutes eating world class ribs and brisket.

Couple of the bottles were leaking from being squished do to the box being damaged.
