I started my overweight King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, male, 8 year old on this prescription food and after six months he had lost 5 lbs. Might not sound a lot but for a dog his size/breed it’s a good amount. Still needs to loose a few more pounds but think very doable. This is with doing fairly the same amount of physical activity as before. He likes the food well enough and seems to fill him up or at very least quell his hunger. His old food he would paw at his food bowl if he was hungry, with this food he never does. It makes it easier for me because I’m less likely to give him unhealthy treats, overfeed him being too weak to withstand that “look” from him. Not to talk crap but he has regular healthy looking bowel movements, no issues with gas, or shows any discomfort. Overall been worth the elevated cost.

We finally decided to get our 8yr old lab prescription weight control food with joint and digestion benefits. This has been the first food she’s eating daily without a lot of fuss. She seems to be more active. Her stool a digestive system seems to be great too. We will see how the weight loss looks like at doc visit. But visually she seems to have lost weight. The price point is definitely not easy to swallow but for the benefits, I am okay paying a premium.

This is helped my dog so much, she has hip and knee issues. Trying to stay away from surgery so rehab exercise, a couple meds and diet have been key!

We get this for our big, old, fat dog. (Female Black Lab, 11 years, 95 lbs). Somebody - a veterinarian I guess - told my wife this is what our dog needed, so here we are. Dog seems to like it OK. I am mystified as to why we need a "prescription" from our veterinary clinic to complete the order. Who ever heard of a prescription being required for food? Would it be animal abuse if we fed it to another dog instead? (Note to Homeland Security: Not that we would! This is a hypothetical question only).

Me las recomendó la veterinaria. Sí son caras lamentablemente pero mi perrita yorkie mediana sí bajó de peso. Lo malo es que me confié y a los dos meses ya le dí la Royal Canin normal y volvió a subir. En fin, las compraré de nuevo y vigilaré mejor lo que come

A mi perrito de 13 años le gustan estas croquetas, su vet se las recetó por su edad y para que bajara de peso y le ha ido muy bien! La caducidad de las croquetas era como de un año y venían selladas. Su precio es bueno, es el mejor que he encontrado
