How did this thing get so many good reviews? Are people not using this for anything that weighs more than a pound? The strap is only 1.5 inches wide, I needed that width to fit the buckles I know I had to sew in. But the padding had no padding. It came vacuum sealed so I thought it would expand. It didn't . I got a pad from an old HP laptop bag and used that instead, It was at least soft and padded, the one with the strap wasn't padded at all. The strap itself is less sturdy than a seat belt, but thinner. I thought that tis might be good, but every time I take the bag off, 80% of the strap hits the floor, of the coffee shop, the cars floor mats, the sidewalk. It has no structure at all. It might be strong, I hope to never need to find out. I'm still looking for something with a little (a lot) more padding. 20 minutes of carrying my laptop and power supply has taught me that a 3" padded surface might work, but this one doesn't.

This product will serve its purpose, is not as sturdy as I had hoped, but it be just fine
