Timex Group B.V. is one of the best-known American watch companies. Timex's U.S. headquarters are located in Middlebury Connecticut and it has substantial operations in China, the Philippines and India and full scale sales companies in Canada, the UK, France and Mexico.The company began in 1854 as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley, known during the nineteenth century as the "Switzerland of America." Sister company Waterbury Watch manufactured the first inexpensive mechanical pocket watch in 1880. Functional and pretty
I purchased this watch as a replacement for many cheaper ones that I have had over the last year. I am frequently washing my hands and needed something that is water resistant and easy to read. The price was affordable and it's holding up to exposure to moisture very well. I wear my watch with the face against the inside of my wrist and appreciate the fact that the band is attractive. My only negative about this watch is that the band is a little snug, which I usually don't have problems with when wearing other watches. Otherwise, I'm very pleased.

Great looking watch!!
For the cost, of this Timex watch, this is a very nice looking watch. I like the Gold and Silver color, which looks great no matter what I wear. It fits my wrist just fine, without having to have any links removed. It is easy to read, and so far, keeps great time. As a retired nurse, I always like to have a second hand, and I know it will please any new nurse or nursing student. I have a feeling this watch will last me a long time.

Attractive Timex timepiece goes with most any other accessories.
I like this watch, very much. With the explosion of cell phones, people are using them for timepieces, also. I am an older person who always wore a watch when I was a younger person. I found myself missing just being able to look down and know what time it was. This watch is an attractive piece that will go with any other accessories you may be wearing.I do find the band is a little tight. I have been trying to stretch it by keeping it slid down on a jar, when not on my wrist.

A quality, long lasting watch and band
I love this watch. I purchased the same style several years ago (Costing me $59.95 before tax at a department store) and it still keeps good time and is comfortable, but I need a link on the band repaired. I put it through a lot of rough use at work, but it's still a good watch. I decided to order the same watch again since I like it so much...now I have two. I can wear one to work and one for going out. Previous watches I purchased were cheaper, bands broke, would snag on my clothes and cut me, and I had to replace watches fairly often. I would rather pay more and have a quality watch. Note: The watch I bought several years ago cost me $59.95 before tax at a department store.

Stunning!
Have owned so many watches since the 70s, this is my favorite. It is gorgeous, brings out the beauty of my gold filigree wedding band, fits perfectly on my petite wrist, easy to move up to wash my hands, and easy to see the face with the time on it. I can wear it with any color necklaces and earrings because of the two-tone. It's so classy, whether you're in jeans or dresses, it looks great. Quality at a price anyone can afford!

this is the second identical watch that stopped working since July. The vendor replaced the first watch because it broke within weeks of purchasing it. I have had this new watch since the end of August.

Classic Looking and Reliable:
The Timex Women'sT2N9799J is a classic looking watch. I like the Roman numerals...and the silver and gold tones in the watch and watch band.I've bought Timex for years, because the price is reasonable and the quality high. It does the job it was intended for it to do.. keep the correct time. It is well made...and not so delicate that it can't be worn daily.

Big/Scratchy
it is too big for my wrist. The band is scratchy, it's not finished smooth enough. It looks ok. Not really happy with it. I will try to take out some links and use it as a once in a while wear watch I suppose.

TIMEX! What can you say?
I wish the band had been a little bigger for my mother-in-law. It is so hard to find a large enough band that she can manage with her dexterity.
