Love love love this lunch box , easy to clean, leak proof, lots of space and the thermos is my favorite now my daughter is able to enjoy a variety of hot lunches without having to carry a luchbox and a separate thermos this is all in one and fits everything also comes with a divider.

Omg this is the best lunchbox yet. I can send my kids with their rice and chicken their soup or pasta and it will stay warm until lunch break. I totally love it and I’m obsessed with it. Seals perfectly easy to use and to clean doesn’t stay with the smell of whatever you give them for lunch. Overall 100% to this. Doesn’t leak.

I just got this lunch box and already I have my thoughts on this. I like the idea of a bento style lunch box with the capability to hold and keep foods cold or hot. There's only so many sandwiches I can make for my kids with other bento lunch boxes, sometimes they ask for a hot lunch and I have to pack a thermos along with the other containers making for a bulky and messy lunch bag. This right here solves all that. One container for hot/cold items plus compartments for sides and or a drink. This lunch box is innovative and great but it does have some things that need to be looked at and hopefully fixed in a future redesign. Here are some cons: First of all, when I got this I struggled to open it. I mean really struggle! To the point where I almost stuck a butter knife to pry this thing open. Maybe it was because it was stored but I would hate for that to happen in school and my kids not asking for help and going without lunch. :( After a few times opening and closing it got a little loose enough to make it easier to open. The silicone lining does come off to clean daily (as recommended) but it can come off too easily that with time it might fly out every time we open the lunch box. Another thing I don't really like is that you need to apply force to shut the lunch box tight. There will be a slight gap on the side where the thermos is located, so if you were to pack a sandwich in there, you would need to wrap it in plastic wrap to avoid getting dust or dirt in there contaminating the food (if you use this as intended without a separate insulated lunch bag, I personally would use a separate bag to pack this). Another thing to think about is that when putting a hot meal in the thermos it will slightly warm up the items in the other compartments. Not a problem if you pack crackers or other dry foods but definitely something to keep in mind when packing fruits and vegetables. Finally a couple other things to consider is that only the thermos is leak proof, the other compartments are spill proof from each other (except when dividing it with the removable divider included) but they are not leak proof so forget about packing yogurt or applesauce as a side item directly into the compartment. Like I said the thermos is leakproof, just becareful when twisting it shut as the silicone ring is a little flimsy and if it bends or wrinkles it will cause liquids to spill out. I know it seems like a lot of cons but I tried it at home before thinking about sending it to school and these are things that could be corrected in a future updated design. Now for the pros, there are many, besides the ones I already mentioned, the thermos does keep food warm for atleast 4 hours, enough to last until lunch time. It is leak proof when used correctly and it is compact and sleek and it fits in a standard size lunch bag. The plastic is BPA and phthalate free and it is high quality, you can feel how great it is. The handle is great for little ones hands. It is up there in price but I think it is a fair price considering that it is an all in one lunch box, a thermos, bento style lunch box with a handle that does not require a separate bag to carry. Yumboxes cost around $30 or more but don't keep food warm or cold, and still need a bag. Planetboxes start at over $50 and still need a bag (your total will be almost $70 with all the extras) and also doesn't keep foods cold/hot. I do love Yumbox and Planetbox don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to say that the price is just right. I would recommend this for little kids, up to maybe age 6 or 7 depending on their appetites. This is perfect for my 3 yr old but my 8 yr old said it looks like a baby lunch box and also that it won't fit much food. Hope this review helped someone!

This lunch box is perfect for our kids lunch. Keeps the food hot or cold depends on what you put in there. Perfect size for the lunch bags. So easy to wash it, whether you put it in the washing machine or wash it by hand. The price was so good even if you get when it’s in promotion.

This is hands down the best bento lunch box I have purchased. The last 2 both broke unfortunately. It is a little on the higher side for cost but to me it was worth it! The built in thermos is the best feature but I love that you can take it out and put a sandwich in the compartment where it went. It comes with a little divider to separate one of the sections to make an extra area for food. It is really easy to clean and we have not any any leaks. It is on the larger side so I would make sure you check the measurements to know if it will fit in your lunch box!

We ordered the Omie Box to use in combination with my son’s Bento Kids Leakproof Lunch Box because he wants some warm lunches. He used the Bento last year in his 3 year old preschool class and it was great. He is now 4 and has used the Omie Box a number of times for lunch at home in practice for the upcoming 4 year old pre-K class. He figured out how to open it from the first use, although, it took him a second the first time. The portion sizes and ease of use are perfect for him. After warming the thermos 10 min. with boiling water and placing the hot food inside at a much higher temperature than I would serve immediately his food stays warm enough to satisfy him after sitting 5 hours until lunch. We LOVE our Omni Box, in comparison to his Bento Kids (which we also love) the Omni has a more durable plastic design than the inner tray of the Bento and while the Bento seal is never failing we love that the Omni seals are removable and replaceable since wearing and staining eventually occur. I am a mom of five who learned long ago that I often don’t have the time and energy to re-do what I could have done right the first time. I am the crazy person who actually reads the entire cellphone contract and instructions to assemble items that appear to be very straight forward and I always learn a little something useful. So, a little common sense goes a long way! Plastic can only handle so much heat, seals must be cleaned, seals are pliable therefore porous which may stain if unwashed, and trying to keep hot and cold items so close together while retaining a desirable temperature is tricky, not faulty. I have purchased enough bottles and sippy cups over the years to know that every seal serves a beautiful purpose that is 100% vital to the product function and I have yet to encounter a single seal design that was not a complete pain in some regard. However, if I were set on simple and pain free I would send a prepackaged disposable lunch. The instructions make it crystal clear this item can withstand the top rack in a dishwasher (hand washing is recommended) without heated drying, however, it is not to be placed in the microwave, freezer, oven, on the stove or any heat source. I really can’t stress enough that you should really become familiar with how the two seals (1. Lid 2. Thermos lid) work because when cared for and used as instructed there are no thermos leaks and the side compartments can handle some juices from food. Obviously, defects occur but this design is solid enough! The lid does not shut if the lid seal is not fully inserted but still functions if you go ahead and close the latch. The instructions say not to over fill the thermos and after misjudging, I learned that overfilling the thermos makes seal loose (which instructions state) or fall off of the thermos lid causing everything to leak out. Leaving enough space for the insulated lid to sit properly when twisted on prevents all leakage. Super Stellar Lunch Bos!
