Despite a couple of negative reviews, I found these turnbuckles good for my purposes. The threads seem to be well cut, and the price is a bargain.Regarding maximum load, I tested them to 200 lbs.

My son-in- law and I go kayaking and occasionally swap kayaks which requires readjusting foot pedal distances for steering control of the stern mounted electrical motors. These cable adjusters make that task easy.
