Barker (30844) 4-Wheeler Tote Tank - 42 Gallon capacity

After researching several different brands of portable waste tanks and comparing features, I finally settled on the Barker, and I do not believe that I could have made a better choice. I have the 32 gallon model and it did come with pneumatic tires which is a huge plus and I have already had the opportunity to use the tank and it performed as expected! Here is a list of what I like about it and in my opinion the reasons it performs so well. 1) The pneumatic tires make it very easy to pull and with the 2 swiveling wheels in front connected to the handle it is very easy to maneuver. I pulled it through gravel with no problem and up a utility trailer ramp with ease. 2) The handle is heavy duty metal and strong so you don't have to worry about breaking it and it also attaches and removes by a 'pull pin', a feature that comes in handy when transporting it and you want the handle out of the way. And when storing the tank on it's end the handle will lay flat against the bottom of the tank. 3) The inlet has bayonet lugs to attach the sewer hose securely. (no mess) 4) The outlet works just like a regular RV outlet. Attach the sewer hose and pull the door valve. (again, no mess) 5) It has a combo vent and rinse connection, very easy to rinse. This is a well built, well designed tank! No question about it. Some reviews complain about not having an area to store hoses etc. but in my opinion that is a non issue and easy to work around.

First time camper here and regular septic system guy wasnon Holiday for 2 more weeks and being at a Campground in high heat not a good time to suddenly be full and no way possible to empty it!! After reading reviews I selected this one with Prime Delivery. Thank goodness for 2 day delivery!! Not to mention HONEST Reviews!! My black tank is 40 gallon but the higher size was a longer wait. Happy to have went down a size. My neighbour came to my rescue which I realised once box opened no need. It’s ALL assembled except a sturdy/strong heavy cotter type pin to hold tow handle to tote. Heavy duty FULLY INFLATED RUBBER TIRES! They roll effortlessly across grass, bumpy dirt/gravel roads with full tank wit complete ease. Handle is heavy duty metal spray painted white. NOTHING is cheap on this unit!! Comes with everything PLUS!! The flexible hose that goes from tote to holding tank clean out on camper/RV is VERY long and durable with nice flex to it. Secure connections easy without leaks/spills. Even has a fill gauge on top!! EXTREMELY WELL constructed and HEAVY DUTY!! This makes most of the other “totes” look far cheaper that roll down the road as I’m close to the dumping station. EXTREMELY pleased with this and a few other Campers asked what Camper Store I bought this at. When I told them Amazon they’ve said wow, bet you paid well over $325 for it at least!! I said well, I bought a few other things here and they wed really excited for a price as I added on Rhino hoses etc. I said all was $306 delivered in 2 days!! They DIDN’T believe me so I happily pulled out my phone, on my Amazon App on showed my Order!! I just had my tanks cleaned and they’re “borrowing “ it to give it another try!! This is rather funny how you can get excited about a waste tote but hen it really makes a dreaded job easier than it’s worth something to brag about!!

Nice large capacity with side discharge and front hauling wheels so no lifting!

We bought this portable tank to use with our fifth wheel trailer at a seasonal campground that did not have on site septic. Our trailer has 42 gallon tanks so the plan was to do one dump per tank. The Barker portable tank exceeded our expectations. I was concerned about the weight of the tank when it was full. The air filled tires make it easy to pull by hand, even when it is full. I pull it by hand to the road and then drop the handle onto the hitch. The tank rolls nicely behind the truck at a very slow speed. No issues with dumping either. The tank is easy to manoeuver it into position to empty at the dump station. We did buy a 90 degree elbow for the hose coming off the trailer as the top of the tank is level with the bottom of the outlet. That makes it easier to fill. Another tip is to loosen the full indicator to allow air to escape as the tank fills. Same for dumping as it allows air to enter the tank as it empties. We can dump all 3 of our tanks (black and 2 grey, each 42 gallons) in three trips. We had avoided going seasonal st this campground because of the septic not on site. Now that we have the Barker, no issues to have the camper for an extended period without on site septic. Thanks to Barker as we love this campground because it is right on the water!

Great tank, holds of good load, take that how you will. Seems to be well made too. The wheels are good and lower side valve makes dumping easier than the ones that only have the top hole. I can't speak for longevity yet because we've only had it for a couple months now. Overall I'm fairy satisfied with it other than the cheap hose which we replaced with a better one when it broke already.

Love the pneumatic tires on this, the heavy bearings on the wheels and the solid connection point for the hitch. Have not had much chance to use so far but based on construction alone, this unit is significantly more sturdy and easier to pull/tow than our old one.
