Seemingly accurate, punchy sound. High quality.
Just connected this pair of French Triangle Borea speakers to my Wiim Amp and really enjoying it so far. These replace a pair of KEF Coda 7 speakers that I loved, but now old and wearing out. These Triangles are perfect for my office but could work well in a larger room. These are large for a bookshelf speaker; about 15.5” tall with the included 3M rubber adhesive button feet. So just barely fit in my office bookshelf. True, imaging not the best being so close to each other but sound great nonetheless. Out of the box, sound is a bit bright but with break-in period the woofer will wake up and sound even better for low frequencies. Already I can tell these are more “alive” than my previous subdued English KEF. By “alive” I mean the upper lows to upper mids are a bit forward; midrange-heavy is not quite accurate in that these are very smooth and punchy and no mushy bass. My KEF’s were probably better for bass-heavy rock (broken in over 30 years no less), whereas these will be better for most other genres like jazz, vocals, and real live percussion instruments like snare drums and piano. The highs are bright but sound great, never tiring of an entire afternoon of listening. Box and shipping were first rate, no damage. Quality of the vinyl wrap veneer-look oak is beautiful. The binding posts are really good and just a bit small so it takes a bit of squeezing and pushing to get banana connectors inserted but once in are tight. My cabinet is a generous 13” deep and I bought right angle banana plugs to help; even so the speakers are just a bit proud of the front of the cabinet. Don’t skimp on speaker wires… I bought these from UC Innovate on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WY9TN56?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1. All in all a great initial day and I am very happy!

Excellent speakers
The speakers are fantastic. Easy to set up. These are considered bookshelf speakers, and I saw the dimensions online before I purchased, but they are bigger than you think! They sound great with anything I have out through them - TV, music, podcasts, etc. very rich and full sound.

Surprised at how much I like these!
I had seen a couple good reviews of these and, as most audio people, always looking to give different stuff a try. I had been running Kef Q150's at my desk without any complaint. Just always wanting to move stuff around. I used an active speaker switcher to A/B them and, while I still like the Kefs, I found these to have a bit better soundstage and a touch more clarity. Kept the Kefs but moved them to my system that I run my Korg Grandstage and Roland VK-8 keyboards through. I think one of the things that made these work better for how I am using them is the front ports. Since my desk has about 10 feet of space in front of it, I may have been getting a delay in the bass from the rear ports which affected the soundstage. They feel and look well made. Nice binding posts. I think they are nice sounding speakers for a good price point.

Great Sounding, Great Value
I'm not an audiophile but I wanted near audiophile quality and that's what I think I got. They sound pure and clean, keeping things authentic to what recordings produce. I specifically did not want speakers that interpret or alter sound to their brand. They are powered by a simple SMSL A300 bluetooth amp, which, like these speakers, assists in producing clear, clean audio, especially for jazz, vocals and classical. For a total cost of $675 USD, I love the set up. My only reason for four stars is the cabinet finish. That's where Triangle cut their expenses to deliver such a high-quality audio experience. That's fine with me.

These are incredible speakers
I've owned speakers that cost 10 times more than these (Paradigm Signature S2 V3), and while the much more expensive ones were better, it wasn't by a great margin. It blows my mind that these are selling for about $300. Their original MSRP was around $600, and they were a steal at that price. These sound fantastic. The bass is detailed and actually reveals texture and tone that most speakers obscure. The midrange is open and revealing. Music with several layers of instruments can be peeled back if the recording allows. Instrument separation is really good with these speakers. Voices sound incredibly natural. There's no hint of boxiness or congestion. They reveal so much texture in vocals. Voices like Norah Jones and Don Henley that actually have a lot of subtleties sound superb. The treble, is very sweet and detailed. Cymbals, hi-hats, strings all also reveal a lot of texture. I hate to keep using that word, but nothing is glossed over with these speakers. If it's in the mix, you'll hear it. The midrange and the treble are a bit forward, but not in a bad way. These are energetic speakers. They are dynamic and lively. Although they are front ported, they do like to be pulled out a bit into the room for the best soundstage and imaging. With the right placement, the soundstage can get wide (beyond the speakers), but never really gets very deep. But vocals and some instruments seem to jump out into the room. So there is good front to back soundstage. But it doest often sound like anything is going on behind the speakers. The only reason I even notice this is because the $3000 Paradigms were so damn good at it. I never get tired of listening to them. In the past, I've had urges to upgrade equipment, especially speakers. But not with these. The Borea BR03s will keep me happy for a long time.

Terrific sounding speakers
Did a lot of research online before pulling the trigger on the BRO3's. The fact the price dropped didn't hurt either. These speakers have great clarity and spaciousness to them. I always use a subwoofer with bookshelf speakers and continue to do so with these for more oomph on the deepest notes. Don't let that dissuade you though. These have a beautiful mid and upper range that brings voices and instruments into great focus. I am more than pleased with these speaker systems. They look great, too!

Excelsior !!

This beautiful speaker want his time to unfold his talents. When it is ready, it will surprise you with its awesome middle area and the true but not at all accentuated highs. These simply complement the sound image. His strongest point, however, is the bass. I really never expected to hear from such a small speaker so good low, not how low it can go down of course, but how well, clearly, loudly and accurately it can play at the frequencies it can go down. I think its difficult to find a speaker at this price (or at a slightly higher price) that beats it on its bass. I strongly recommend it because overall is a great bookshelf speaker and cheap for what it offers us. Bravo TRIANGLE.
