If you're using it under or on top of your desk at work for a few hours a day it's perfect. I tried using mine overnight to help modulate my home temperature in a few rooms and it was burnt out within 60 days. **Q: Is it safe for bathroom?** A: Excellent question. Unfortunately, model CT16450 has not been designed for bathroom usage. If you are interested in a unit designed for bathroom usage please check out wither models CD08200 or CD08210. **Q: Does the unit shut off when it reaches the designated temperature?** A: No, it doesn’t. But it does have fuse that prevents overheating as a safety feature. **Q: Do it cause carbon dioxide** A: No. The heat is produced by electricity, not by burning any kind of fuel.
