There was no need for me to wire to 2 ohms, (it is 2 ohm stable), as it would probably cause damage to my subwoofer's that are only rated 500 rms each. I am pretty sure that the power output rating is stretched somewhat, but it does give you plenty of bang for your buck! Even though this amp is cheaply priced, it is not of bad quality and is better than most at its price point and class! I would recommend this amp. You might not knock any paintings off of the wall when you arrive at your destination but they will definitely be surprised at the sonic boom and rattle coming from your trunk! If I had any negative opinions about this amp at all, it would be about the remote bass knob and that there is no gradient or slope in degree of increase/decrease, it's either all the way up or all the way down, no in between. I'm actually running two amps and two subs but hooked them up separately, one amp for one speaker. The unit itself is very light weight and doesn't seem like much, but for the price these are amazing amps. The plastic holding hook up brackets in place is a little flimsy, be careful when tightening down your connections. The dials are easily accessed and adjusted. Mounting is simple as there are no covers but this does mean the screws are visible.
