    Great and Fun!

I really love this documentary that shows the behind the scenes of voice acting. All the cameos are such an awe inspiring moment of joy for those that do appreciate the talented actors and the breakdown of how they get their work accomplished. The continual titles of their names and various roles is also a nice on screen add while the clips of actors talking flipping back and forth can confuse people.

The most famous people you'll never recognize

I know that voice is a well done documentary about the voice over business and where it got it's start. But I have two criticisms with this film. #1. While Mel Blanc and June Foray are definitely worth remembering, there were other popular voices in that era, like Robert C. Bruce or Paul Frees just to name a few. Now, they could have overlooked them for time concerns, but still. #2. When Richard Horvitz talks about how in every documentary, they never go into how the people in the documentaries got famous, just a jump cut and they were famous. Ironically, this film does the exact same thing. They never really go into how these actors got their breaks, with maybe two exceptions. They never got into what they went through, good and bad, that got them to where they are now, again with two exceptions. Those parts may have been cut for time concerns, but... man, the irony. Beyond that, I have no problems, it's an entertaining and informative film with all of my favorites in the mix. What more can you ask for?... Except those 2 things I mentioned, but that's just me. If you love cartoons and/or behind the scenes stuff, this is definitely worth a watch. It's not voice acting 101, but hey, I'll take it. By the way, stick around for the credits, you're in for a treat.

A rare peak into the talents of voice actors and their production process

If you've ever had the slightest interest in what goes into voice acting behind animation, this is the perfect documentary, featuring many of the A-list performers from both past and current animation productions together with voice directors and other behind-the-scenes personnel. Both funny and inspiring at the same time, it showcases the true talent needed to be a successful voice actor - far more than simply providing impersonations, the show illustrates the creation of a character and the ability to read anything in any style in a given voice. It's hilarious watching Shakespeare performed by classic Warner Brothers cartoon characters as a performance, and also seeing how they merge multiple voices to create new characters. The actors truly become characters vocally in the way an on-stage actor uses expression and body language to achieve the same effect. Many of the interviewees can shift between dozens of different voices to bring the animations to life. The documentary also explores some of the process involved in taking a script, breathing life into the dialog and then moving on to the animation stage, as well as the refinements after the production to allow for errors in lip-syncing and other pick-ups needed. If you're a movie fan and have an interest in the production side, this is a must-see - and even if you're not, it's also very funny to watch.
