Comfortable and functional!
This brace is wonderful. It supports the bottom of the thumb area where there is a bone spur so that I don’t have pain while I’m doing things with my hands. This brace allows you to do things when you are wearing it and prevents any further pain.

Worth the extra money
If you need this type of brace, it's probably smart to spend the extra money. First, it really works and helps with the pain of bone on bone in your thumb joint. Second, it's adjustable, you can mold the brace to more carefully fit your hand, not just the standard size. And third, it really cleans up! I wear my brace all the time when I'm washing dishes and it's held up very well. I will need this brace for the rest of my life and I expect I won't need to buy another.

Expensive but it works!
I was hesitant to buy this item even after reading the reviews because it is SO darn expensive, but gosh am I glad that I bit the bullet and bought it. IMMEDIATE relief - no joke. It stabilizes your CMC joint so well that while you’re wearing it, you’ll forget about the pain that comes from that joint. I can wear this and still do my HIIT workouts with no issues. It’s small, easy to put on/off, it really helps - a win-win in my book. Much different from my Mueller brace which is softer but bulky (try using a remote with that on) and constantly unwraps around the thumb. (that being said, I do still wear it to bed at night) Don’t know why it is listed as a “frequently returned item” since it works!

CMC support! So helpful!
Fits as expected. I love how it protects my CMC joint. Comfortable except inside edge of thumb. A thin cushion which we attached to the inside edge helped that. I do like the amount of support, very helpful.

PUSH MetaGrip CMC Thumb Brace Review
(June 2025) I recently went to see an orthopedic physician specializing in hand/thumb issues. The X-Rays and MRI scan showed "Prominent osteoarthritis change with partial subluxation of the first carpometacarpal articulation". The physician said my pain in my right thumb was mainly due to arthritis. She recommended the Push brand of CMC thumb brace, stated better quality than the generic, but more expensive. I have been wearing this brace for about 2 weeks now and love it. Very comfortable, keeps my thumb stable and pain free. Can still do my regular chores and functions, except heavy exercise. Easy to clean, simple to use. Well worth the money to protect your health. I just purchased another one for a backup.

Thumb relief
Perfect fit and good relief from my joint pain. This helps me delay surgery and keeps my hand able to handle everyday activity.

Best value in CMC braces, much better than the cheap knockoffs.
I love this brace. I’ve had several custom braces fabricated by highly skilled occupational therapists. My hand doctor recommended I try the Push Metagrip brace, for my right hand. I ordered one and also an inexpensive generic look-alike. The Push brace fit perfectly, allowed much better range of motion, and is made with superior materials and craftsmanship. There were no pinch points nor did the brace’s edges cut into my hand. The generic did cut into my hand, and the accompanying rubber sleeve - the remedy for the sharp edges - was clammy and uncomfortable. I bought this one after my first started to fray a bit, after many months of punishing use. I just had the CMC Arthroplasty surgery and am recovering. I decided to get a new Push brace for the left hand, since that hand is being overused, making up for the right hand while being out of commission.

It may be expensive, but it does work
I had a difficult time justifying spending this much for something this small, but the pain in my thumb was limiting what I could do, especially being my right hand. I put it on as soon as I got it, adjusted it for a good fit, and immediately had relief and I could use my thumb with out pain in daily activities. It really protects the area at the base of my thumb, and while I don't wear it every minute, when I can know do my daily activities, relatively pain free.
