Great Quality Underglazes in a rainbow of colors that last to high heat, like cone 09 - 10.
I love that these underglaze colors are mostly true to color up to the high heat of cone 09/10. And On greenware or bisqueware! They are layerable, mixable, and when coated with a top clear glaze, most colors come out beautiful. [Still has not produced the elusive purple or yellow well]. Worth the $. High level Art Hack: I recommend applying underglaze to ceramics via jelly printing kit, & sometimes I play with stencils, geometry & math in nature - the golden spiral, if not playing with color theory.

Nice colors
I bought these as a gift for my artist daughter, and she was pleased. They came quickly and as described. I would recommend this seller.

My favorite brand
I really like Amaco's underglazes compared to Mayco. With Mayco, even if I do a few coats, I'll get splotchy areas and paint strokes (though maybe that's just bad application on my part). I don't have this problem when I use Amaco. I also really like how each of Amaco's containers has a seal, unlike Mayco. One downside with some of Amaco's colors is that I might have to re apply transparent gloss glaze over and refire due to the underglaze color "absorbing" too much of the transparent glaze and ending up with an uneven, matte finish. It's just trial and error since you don't know what colors do this (so far I've found this to happen with "deep yellow").

Underglaze
Good colors, easy application

Basic colors but still great consistency expected from this brand.
Only dislike had nothing to do with quality of underglazes. The lid was loose on purple so several had splashed dried purple to be cleaned off. Have used Velvet Underglazes for years. The colors’ qualities never disappoint and remains true to color after low firing.

Very nice product, as described. But pricey.

I've never used it without the brilliant glaze, so I don't know how it looks ...
They work really well on a low fire kiln. You need to use 3-4 layers of colours and you can (optionally) use 3-4 layers of a brilliance glaze to finish it. I've never used it without the brilliant glaze, so I don't know how it looks like, but works perfectly as I have described. And the colours look even better after heated. No disappointments!

Amaco Velvet underglazes are a great product.....and at this price you can’t go wrong! Colour selection included was great, only had to add a few others to round out my palette(more white to lighten some colours and orange). Highly recommend for a anyone who wants to try a bunch of Amaco’s underglazes at a great price!
