2 Genuine Kirby Carbon Brushes for G3, G4, G5, G6, Ultimate G, Diamond and Sentria

These worked perfectly for me, youtube shows you how to install. This was a inexpensive fix and the cost was much less then the Kirby repair store. One suggestion if you do this for yourself, take a picture of how they are wired, and mark a reference number for each wire to the switch! DON'T rely on memory, i had brushes reversed motor turned backwards and so did the vaccum, not fun.

Perfect fit for G4 Kirby vacuum. Takes some work to change brushes , but it works like new. Well worth it.

So these fixed my Kirby vacuum when it wouldn't turn on. There is an excellent video on youtube by proclaimliberty2000 that shows you how to tear down the Kirby to replace these. I love my 20+ year Kirby and I am so glad this solved the problem. It has been over 6 mths since my purchase. I put them on backwards my first time. Left right does matter.

I worked as a Kirby vacuum service manager for 9 years. These brushes are a perfect fit for the Generation 3 through G5 Kirby motor. I cannot say for newer models as they were released after I changed jobs. However, based on the look of the newer models, I assume it would fit.Replacement is not super-simple and requires removal of the transmission (power drive) unit. Lots of interlocking plastic and metal pieces to remove in getting down to these.If you are mechanically adept and not afraid to risk it, these brushes are the right part. I recommend these motor brushes (at least) for Generation 3 through G5 Kirby motors.

Carbon was outside the cartridges & had to finally use needle nose to open up the brass to allow for install & proper slide

I thought my package arrived missing a brush. So I initiated A return and ordered another. The ad says "2 Genuine Kirby Carbon Brushes" Well FYI you are only getting one, kind of misleading, the vacuum takes 2 so I'll keep them, just wanted everyone to know.

Says there were a set of motor brushes. Only received one brush. Sent back as soon as I got it. One brush does me no good.Return service was good.
