Best bow I've found in this price range
I originally bought a very similar SAS-brand bow. It was a fine bow but I returned it for one reason: a very uncomfortable, sharp-cornered grip (a fault pointed out by several reviewers). You're going to be shooting a bow over and over again; a bad grip is a major issue. (See photos for details.) I ordered this bow because it was similar in nature and price and specifically advertised an improved, comfortable grip. They are correct. The slightly-rounded grip corner makes all the difference. In my younger years I shot the semi-pro archery circuit, every day. Just getting back in to it as a hobby. This is an excellent purchase on a target bow. Although it's not a "pro-class" bow (ie, $600+) you could easily use this for the semi-pro competition circuit; nothing wrong with the bow itself. For absolute beginners I recommend a draw weight from 22 to 26 lbs. For those with some archery experience and have developed their back muscles for drawing, 30 to 35 lbs would probably be ideal (the "Olympics" draw weight). Likely for most casual / fun adult users, 26lbs will work just about right. Here's my take on this bow set: PROS: * Good, light-weight riser * Comfortable grip (very important) * Quality limbs (especially at this price range, currently about $120. If that price goes up... the value per dollar goes down) * Three types of arrow rest-- screw-in, standard "finger" rest and flat-to-bow shelf. I recommend the screw-in. * Decent quality string. Be sure to twist it 12 to 15 times before stringing up the bow for increased action and consistency. * Superior-design bow stringer * Excellent bow-sight (if you decide to use a sight. There's lots to be said for instinctive non-sight shooting). * All the accessories, including arm guard, finger guard and nocks. For beginners: mount the nock about 1/4" to 1/2" above the top of where the arrow would sit if exact 90 degrees to the string. The arrow notches under the nock and needs some vertical room for flex. CONS: * No instructions-- so I've included a (very amateur) video on how to string the bow. There are no warnings about what can happen if you don't use the stringer. (Use the stringer! Always.) There's no information on how to set up the bow, hold the bow, properly use the arm guard and finger protector-- not even a sheet leading to a web site explaining such things. I could find no website for SinoArt itself, much less an instruction page. (If anybody finds one, please post for benefit of those just starting out.) * No locking nut on the screw-in arrow rest. (Fortunately I already had one.) That said, the seller is one of the most supportive and friendly I have come across. I contacted them via Amazon and they were bend-over-backward customer-friendly. 5-star+ feedback on that. At this price-- this is a good-quality entry-level bow. It feels good, fires well and will likely hold up for years. Be sure to un-string it when not in use (the limbs are partially wood and wood can always weaken if left strung over long periods of time). I recommend *not* breaking it down between uses (better consistency), but that's up to the individual, depending on transportation needs. For out-of-the-box usability and a comfy grip on a startup bow, I'm very happy with this. Photos and a brief essential-instruction video is enclosed. Do remember to twist the string prior to stringing it up; it provides for much better accuracy and shooting experience.

Great for the money.
I just received my bow today. This bow seems to be of very good quality, the fit and finish are very nice and the blue looks awesome! I had a little trouble stringing it and the stringer actually broke on me but I was able to get it done. Once it was together I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is for the price. It’s light and balanced and as mentioned above, it looks very good. I’ll get the chance to shoot it tomorrow and I’m looking very forward to that. Im a beginner only having fired someone else’s bow a few times. The one I used before was a bear recurve with a single cam, it was too big for me. Too much draw weight and length. My new bow feels much better. The weight is far better for targets and the draw length seems good as well. Out of the box the sight isn’t attached, so that will probably take a good bit to sight in and get it where I need it. That said, it should be pretty enjoyable to do that. Very happy with the purchase, great price.

Killer beginner kit for the price
Got me up and running for a low price. I've compared to some other popular inexpensive recurve bows, some of which are almost double the price, and this thing is top tier for the money. Once you've got it strung, with the brace height set the way you want, it just works. I bought one for myself and liked it quite a bit, so I got one as a gift for my friend. We've spoken to a few archers with much more experience than us, at a local range/course, and after trying it they said it was competent bow and the money was well spent. They did warn us that the cast riser should not use this type of riser with 40 lb limbs or higher, but that's not even an option when buying, so it's a non-issue. Accessories are "meh" but they comprise what you need to not injure yourself. The arm guard is actually pretty good compared to some that cost $20. I didn't even bother with the sight, so I can't comment on it. Finger tab was basic but it works. The stringer is quite good and worth keeping, about on par with the Limbsaver I bought separately for $12, though you may need to re-tie it to make sure the knots don't slip. Sinoart customer service was great too, I had an issue that I asked them about and they replied quickly, made sure I was taken care of. That's a whole lot more than I would have expected for a mere $100 purchase.

Falcon was good till limb broke :(
This is my second Sinoart bow within a month. They both are great quality and bang for the buck. I also got the 66" metal riser recurve both are good shooters. The falcon is more a hunting style recurve and looks sweet. Fit and finish is remarkable for under $100 bows. I'm impressed and don't see why to spend more money on something else. Give Sinoart a try. Update: I was having cracking noises from my limbs. One broke. I contacted Sinoart via email on the first of January telling them about the problem and requested a set of replacement limbs. I haven't heard from them at all. So if Sinoart reads these reviews, please send me a set of 30# limbs for my 60" Falcon please. I would really like to get back shooting it.

Shoots straight, just leave the arrow rest pieces in the box
It comes with a few extra pieces of hardware. The bow stringer in particular is very helpful. The arrow rest pieces are fairly useless however. I shoot instinctively (by eye), and with the arrow rest attached, it was pulling several inches to the right. I tried then shooting some arrows directly from the shelf (the flat part just above my left hand), and it was near perfectly accurate. I recommend leaving either of the rests in the packaging, and the site. You may find them useful, as it greatly depends on personal preference. The bow feels pretty well built, especially considering the price tag. The riser feels firm, and the grip is shaped well for my hand. I really can't complain. It's a good starter bow for fun, or maybe a competition bow. I'm not used to 35# draw weight, but it feels pretty smooth to me.

Shipping was fast. 3 day's sooner than they said. Bow is very nice looking. The red is nicer than the pics.show. The lower limb tip had a small separation. Rather than the bother of returning it i epoxied it. Seems much heavier than the 36lb i ordered. Draws the same as my Bear 45lb. Shoots ok. Make sure you really tighten those limb bolts. I thought the package stuff was going to be junk but was very surprised. Really nice arm guard and bow stringer. Really flimsy sight but it works. I'll up grade later. Only have about 100 shoots on it but so far so good. When you factor in the pkg. stuff.it is one hell of a buy. Again when ordering you might want to go a few lbs. less than you really want.Up date.i was wrong. it weighed in at 37lbs. I am using a different anchor that's why it felt heavier...up date...been 5 years and now is in perfect condition. I bought another one with lower poundage. At 70 years old the 36 lb. Was getting hard to draw. Went to 24lb. ,and love it. black this time. Very cool looking. Of all the bows out there I bought this one again because I knew I was getting a great bow at a great price.

Easy to assemble, looks sharp, flings an arrow nicely and not that loud, the extras that come with it are good, the arm guard seems out of place being camo but I’ll switch it out with the one I have with my hunting bow it is well made, the finger tab is nice leather with good stitching, finger loop and peg, the sight I believe was plastic, I didn’t look at it that hard it’s still in the plastic, it looks good enough but I’ve never used sights on a recurve so I can’t judge on that. Over all I am pleased
