Plugged it in and it worked perfectly

Delivered on time but it does not write only reads

This product does what it is supposed to do and would recommend based on price point, however it has it's PRO's and CON's to consider as outlined below. PROs: +Easy setup on PC - No Drivers Required +Long USB Cable +Good Overall Design +Reads nearly all types of mag cards (except hotel cards) on the first read +USB cable is not rigid, allowing for easy desktop/workstation routing +Comes with Cleaning Card +Comes with basic instructions (sad this is listed as a PRO, however many companies are lazy and simply do not bother with any instructions these days) CONS: +Hairline crack on side casing (QA Issue), will eventually break in a production environment - (2 stars off for this - Normally would be 4 stars off, but product is usable, but will not be durable for long term use) +USB cable attached internally only by zip tie (Don't pull too hard) +No screws to mount +Will not read MOST hotel chain mag cards

We are using it for customers who pay face to face but want to do it through our web site. The swipe reader instantly populates their card number on the form on our web site. Great product.

Installation was as easy as plug it in. Windows detects it as a keyboard input device and you can start scanning right away. I did find that it mainly only worked in one direction. I could get it to scan in the opposite direction with mixed results or only half the data coming through. I also wish it had a rubber bottom to keep it from sliding as in my application did not want it permanently fixed. You can easily add velcro or double sided tape though. Even though it did not work for my intended application it did work as advertised so I can't knock it for what it was made for. Should be fine for a POS terminal or any card reading application.

Works right out of the box with no setup required. The card reading function is accurate and fast. For the price, you can't do much better.

I suppose it could have been user error but in our defense we bought the same model card reader a year ago but received a different reader than this. We use it at work daily but wanted a back up. Of course that one still works well and is why we tried to buy the same model. We received a different version of the same product from a year ago, but the new one couldn't be made to work. Mi serviva un lettore per un mio amico che aveva bisogno di leggere da Excel la banda magnetica delle tessere sanitarie, e questo lettore è risultato l'ideale. Funziona con Windows 10 perfettamente, e senza bisogna di installare alcun driver. Quello che legge viene trasmesso alla tastiera, e per qualsiasi programma è come se qualcuno avesse digitato sulla tastiera. Su Excel l'utilizzo è stato immediato, perché leggendo una qualsiasi tessera sanitaria i dati vengono scritti automaticamente su due celle una sotto l'altra, per cui con semplici macro o formule si hanno subito i dati a portata di mano. Il testo letto contenuto nella banda magnetica della Tessera Sanitaria è in un formato particolare: %FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFCOGNOME NOME_ ò99999999999999999999_ dove in FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF c'è il codice fiscale, e in 99999999999999999999 c'è il numero della tessera sanitaria. Non ci sono altri dati sulla banda magnetica. Credo sia semplice e l'ideale per chi vuole implementare la lettura delle tessere magnetiche senza sforzo. Comunque per chi ha conoscenze di programmazione avanzate e ha creato un gestionale, probabilmente è meglio un lettore "tradizionale" con drivers, e accesso tramite librerie seriali, che permettono un maggior controllo su quando e come leggere i dati, evitando che possano essere letti quando il programma non lo deve permettere. Se poi volete fare i super avanzati, allora comprate un lettore che legge il micro-chip della tessera sanitaria, dove vi sono molti più dati (es. data di nascita) e divertitevi con i difficilissimi protocolli ISO delle schede. Ricordo che questo è SOLO UN LETTORE e NON E' IN GRADO DI SCRIVERE la banda magnetica.

Have been using this for about a year to process credit card payments along with an electronic medical record software and it works fantastic. No problems at all to date!

Opción muy práctica, de momento va genial

Fait le travail pour le prix :) Oublier pas de mettre votre clavier en Anglais (QWERTY) car lorsque vous brancher et passer une care, le boitier émule un clavier anglais pour écrire les donnée ( = se prends pour un clavier pour écrire les données lues de la carte)

After spending this much amount in this product I am unable to anything with this product. Disappointing for me .If it is possible to replace please do it , literally it is hampering my business..
