Great value
Sturdy, and assembly was straight forward.

Assembly instructions were a miss.
The instructions were not easy to understand and I recommend a mallet to get through the rubber plates. I found it easier to mount them to the crossbars and then put the crossbars back on the vehicle. They are certainly sturdy though and a good price.

Ok. A nightmare to assemble, straps too short
These cradles work fine for transporting our two kayaks, except the included straps are way too short. If you'd like to test your sanity, simply purchase these and assemble. The instructions are clear enough, but they are a severe pain in the neck to put together. Forget about even trying to use the included "wrench" (aka: sad piece of flat metal with a notch cut out of it) which is useless, and bust out a real wrench and a socket wrench if you have it. Grumpiness about assembly and needing to buy a set of longer straps aside, for the price these cradles are ok but in retrospect I would probably pay a bit more for a set that's easier to put together and which includes sufficiently long straps.

Love these!
Assembly instructions could be better written, but it is fairly obvious how to assemble them. We chose these specifically to attach to our SmittyBilt cargo rack. We found snugging them and loading the kayaks into them to be the easiest way to assure proper angle for “our” kayaks, then we tightened them in place. We tow our Jeep behind our RV and have puts hundreds of miles on, without any loosening. We did swap out the straps that come with them for ratchet straps and added a center one just for good measure. For the cost, these are fantastic.

Satisfactory
They lasted the 4 hour trip at 70mph. They did loosen some about half way through the trip, so I tightened them. They were fine when I got home.

High quality

Not quick or easy to assemble
Not sure how these are foldable?

Great for the price.
Assembly isn't the easiest thing in the world and you'll need a socket wrench if you don't want to pull your hair out. They mounted on our Subaru Outback stock roof rack very easily. I'm not sure I'd want to take my kayaks cross country on them but it's perfect for around town. There are definitely better J-racks out there but at the price I have no complaints.
