Great value, fits my Mercedes GL perfectly
I originally tried another brand for my Range Rover but they sent the wrong size, so I returned it and got these Amazon Basics racks instead. They were $20 cheaper and honestly look like they could've come from the same factory - quality is just as good. I'm mainly using them on my Mercedes GL and the aluminum finish matches the factory rack really well, which is nice. Installation was straightforward and they fit properly. I got them to work with a Sailnovo rooftop cargo bag to use for roadtrips; which I haven't used yet but gets good reviews. Like any roof rack, there's some wind noise at highway speeds, but the rubber filler pieces that go in the tracks help cut it down quite a bit. For the price difference compared to other brands, I'm really happy with these. They're solid, fit well, and do exactly what they're supposed to do.

Quality Product reasonably priced
These Amazon Basics Cross Rails are impressive. They appear to be well made of quality materials. Installing was easy, straightforward. There is a sequence that when followed makes the installation rather simple. But as is often the case with many Chinese-made products, the instructions were not helpful in discovering the simple sequence. But still I was able to secure the racks to the roof of my 2012 Highlander without much backtracking, and in under 30 minutes. Also I believe removing the rails will be easy and re-installing them easy as well. So, I loaded one of my surfboards and took off down the highway for a test run. The Rails held the board securely. Also I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of wind noise. Bottom line? The Amazon Basics Cross Rails are priced right, easily installed, look good, are well made, and work as designed. BTW, so far I have been impressed with products in the "Amazon Basics" line.

Decent for the $$
Bought the 52 inch pair of crossbars for my 2005 Honda Odyssey. I have a similar set on my Nissan Armada so I knew these would work. If the the factory oem crossbars had cost less, I would have bought them instead. These Amazon Basic's were a solid compromise & earned my purchase since I found them for less $$. My van already had rails that ran front to back but it was missing the crossbars. I bought the van used so who knows why the crossbars weren't there. I forgot to ask the previous owner. Nevertheless, I had a long cargo box that I wanted to put on my van so the hunt for crossbars began. These Amazon Basic's were a contender along with 2 other oem crossbars. My final decision to buy these fell on the fact that these were half the cost of oem bars & that I already had a similar set on my Armada. Install was easy & went quickly with 2 people. The tools required came with the kit, including an allen wrench & lock keys. I knew from before that there would be gaps where the crossbars gripped the rails. You can't see the gaps in my pics because I filled them with foam seal strips. If I hadn't, the gaps would have made a whistling noise down when driving at freeway speeds. The height of the bars are a significant improvement over factory height. No chance of clearance issues. They were also solid enough to handle the weight from just about any load I would be putting in the cargo box. Couple of issues to watch out for as my son & I found out. It's possible to unscrew the clamp grip to far because the allen bolt is only "so long." And the part on the other end is a square nut sitting loose on the inside. The nut can fall out & may need more than 2 hands to get it back together. We had this happen but with patience & teamwork, we fixed it. The other issue is that there are wind gaps in the final fitment which account for some whistling wind noise in the vehicle cabin. To me, this was more than annoying. If I hadn't dealt with this when I installed the set on my Armada, I would still be researching a fix, hoping I could quite the noise. Thankfully, I don't like to give up easily on a plan. The compromise I made when I bought the Amazon Basic Crossbars was the right decision for me. Maybe it will be for you too.

Perfect Fit When I Needed It Most — Still Going Strong!
I grabbed these Amazon Basics Cross Rail Roof Racks on a last-minute whim because the set I originally ordered didn’t fit my car. I only planned to use them for a quick weekend trip, but they worked so well and felt so solid that I never took them off. Installation was straightforward, especially after watching the helpful videos — even a roof-rack newbie like me could handle it. The build feels super durable thanks to the aluminum alloy, and the rubber seals really do help keep the wind noise down, making the drive noticeably quieter. When it comes to travelability, these racks perform like champs. Whether it’s a short weekend getaway or a longer road trip, they stay rock solid through all kinds of weather and road conditions. I’ve hauled bikes, camping gear, and bulky bags with zero issues, thanks to the impressive storage capacity and secure fit. And the value for money? Absolutely unbeatable. For such a high-quality, durable, and versatile roof rack set, this is a steal. If you’re looking for a reliable rack that fits a variety of vehicles, offers great storage options, and won’t break the bank, these are definitely worth it. They fit my VW perfectly and have handled everything I’ve thrown at them — all while keeping my cargo safe and my drive comfortable. Highly recommend if you need a quick, sturdy, and quiet roof rack solution that lasts way beyond your weekend trip!

Solo Install a Breeze!
I wanted to see if I could install these on my own. For reference, I’m a middle-aged woman, who is handy, but definitely not in shape! I’m five-two, and with the help of a towel and a step stool, these were super easy to install. The directions are sparse, so I recommend watching a few videos if you are not familiar with the general process of installing cross bars. That’s all I needed in order to understand the basics as a first-timer. The process took me a half hour. I found that a towel draped across the top of my Equinox was a helpful place to set tools. This protected from scratches, but it also made it easy to pull the tools back and forth across the roof when I was switching sides. I haven’t put them to the test yet by hauling gear, but they sure felt sturdy when I was pulling on them! Learn from my mistake: If you realize you put the end caps on too soon (ha!), a flat head screw driver and some gentle tapping from my mallet helped ease them back out without breaking them.

Parts fall out
They have you put a black rubber thing in between, put the brackets on then add the rubber seam again on the ends and then put caps on. But the caps are not secure and can fall out, the. The seam falls out. Which can lead to the bracket falling off. Cheap and can adjust to your vehicle size but not worth it. Not recommended.

Worked out nicely
Fit in my 2020 chevy trax. It got a little tight toward the front, but once installed it's has a sturdy build. Not a bad choice for my car. Also a lot cheaper then the ones through chevy. You shouldn't be disappointed.
