BRUSHING MADE SIMPLE: American dentist George Christ Collis felt that normal straight-bristle toothbrushes were difficult to use for effective plaque-removal in all types of people. Complicated techniques such as the ‘Scrub and Roll’ were hard to teach to children, and adults failed to employ them properly. Drawing from his experiences trying to brush his elderly father’s teeth, who had been diagnosed with parkinson’s at the time, Dr. Collis created the first ever 3 sided curved bristle toothbrush. The Collis Curve Toothbrush’s unique curved design allowed for easier brushing for everybody. Since 1980, the Collis Curve Toothbrush has been helping the special needs community by facilitating oral care needs for people with autism, parkinson’s, or other special needs that would benefit from easier brushing techniques.

Directions

1. Wet the toothbrush bristles with water. 2. Apply toothpaste to the bristles. 3. Place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. 4. Brush gently in a circular motion. 5. Brush the outer surfaces, inner surfaces, and chewing surfaces of all teeth. 6. Brush the tongue to remove bacteria and freshen breath. 7. Rinse the toothbrush thoroughly after use.
