It's not a Crap-ford, its better
Solid lockup, solid design, solid blade, super super sharp out of the box. Seriously, better QC than the crap-ford. I refuse to put money in that business but still liked the look of this beefy, useless tank. Is it heavy and stupid to carry? Yes. Does it have the wow factor? Yes. Is it worth the money? Absolutely yes. Worst comes to worst its a sexy paperweight. But in all seriousness, I carry this, no problem. It takes up more real estate in my pocket than it should for an EDC blade but this isnt an EDC blade. If you want something that you can beat the mess out of and not worry about losing money, get this. Its awesome and worth it.

a lot of knife for the money!
Big, heavy survival/camping folding knife. All steel. Heavy, classic design, high quality, blade centered, no wobble anywhere. Could chop with it, so robust. Shaves hair sharp. Liked it so much, bought 3, one for me, two for gifts. copy of a $2,000 or so Medford knife for about $31. Two versions are out there...D2 or 440C 440C for no rust but dulls faster D2 can rust, harder to sharpen, but keeps and edge longer

Love this knife!!!!
Great knife extremely well built I purchased 4 of them some steel handles and some g10, I love them both, I really like the weight of the metal handle because I know my knife is definitely in my pocket and you can pound nails with it if you needed had to. My son loves his g10 model because is considerably lighter and still as tough. In regards the blade hardness it was a bear to re profile as the metal is truly around 60 rockwell as it tested on my rockwell tester not just a file test!! So I as it is right now is hair splitting sharp as the profile mimics the hollow grind of a straight razor and the tip of a wood chisle for heavier cutting. Again can't verify if is truly d2 but based on the way its performed I do believe it's d2 and the grain is well refined. I will buy a few more soon as i can, i would hate to ever loose this blade and not be able to buy one then if is ever discontinued. Thanks!!

It’s a $30 clone. That in mind it is fine.
I’m appreciative of some of these China made clones for the ability to test something out before spending a large sum of money on the real thing. For some reason I kept looking at the Medford and was half way talking myself into adding one to the collection and decided to pick this up to see if I liked the design and feel. The knife is fine ,honestly, if it’s actually D2 steel I am impressed at how they manage to give you a such a huge chunk of steel for such a reasonable price. That said it is stiff and obviously doesn’t have the fit and finish of the US made Praetorian. The factory edge is cutting sharp and would be fine for lite duty work like opening the occasional package or cutting through cardboard. The lock up feels secure but I wouldn’t trust the pivot or hardware on any heavy duty task. Which kind of goes against the purpose of owning a big heavy chunk of a knife. So for this knife the value is honestly in the hand of the beholder. Just know what your buying and don’t be let down when it’s not what you expected. It’s $30!

Great copy of the original. Much less money.
Smooth action. Heavy. Sharp and flawless construction. I would recommend.

Cheap copy of a Medford, but is a fun box opener.
This is a clone of a Medford Praetorian, which I assume you know. It's a cheap clone at that. It's not easy to open, and I wouldn't trust my life to its lock mechanism or its assembly, but I assume you know that too. What this is is a big chonky knife that is a fun addition to a collection. Honestly I use it to fiddle with and cut open boxes, and I think it's fine for that. I'm not at all convinced this is D2 steel, although I guess it could be. I suspect it's a 440c stainless, which is okay at this price point. If you're expecting this to be equal to a $500+ Medford you'll be sorely disappointed. But if you want it to have something fun to piddle with and serviceable as a cheap knife, you'll be pleased.

Beast of a Knife
First off, this is a beautiful knife. Solid, chunky, brutal. I’m sure the butt end would shatter any car window in emergency. Don’t know if the blade would cut through a seatbelt, as the blade is not too sharp and there is no serration section. Defiantly needs a pro sharpen. It is very bulky but I have large hands, I find it perfect. One thing that might stretch your pocket if you carry this knife, it weighs 11.29 ounces! Yup, heavy. I might carry it if I go into the woods or camping but as an everyday carry, I’d go for something lighter, like a Kershaw Leek. No real cons except for the weight. But to be expected for a brute of a knife such as this.

Glorious Marriage of Terror and Beauty
Wow, I was skeptical but took the plunge and bought 2, and gotta say, all the hype is real. You cannot go wrong at this price. Absolutely devastating display of heft, tight tolerances, and the aesthetics feel like a combination of futuristic weaponry combined with a hauntingly charismatic presence like the old world architecture. (Think Cologne Cathedral in Germany meets Halo 3 / Gears of War video game ) Bottom line, even if the steel is 440C, you will have a Cheshire grin on your face the entire day carrying it. I am using as an EDC despite the nearly 12 ounce weight and don’t plan on shelving it. It’s truly ridiculous in the best way and you will be happy you got it while it exists. Tank-like feel, Zero blade play, blade (almost) perfectly centered. A little tight at first to open but the oil will loosen it up after a hundred deployments. Came very sharp but not arm-shaving sharp. Excellent knife for the price! A+
