Best canned wild-caught salmon I've found. Expensive.
Canned red salmon is a staple of my diet. I have one or two cans a week, usually. I alternate it with pink salmon, which is cheaper but has a more subtle flavor. I eat it with olive oil, sliced tomatoes, and salt.Rubinstein's quality and consistency are the best I've found in canned salmon. No bones. No bundles of skin or fiber. Just clean red salmon. It is packed in copious amounts of water, but that doesn't affect flavor. As all canned red salmon, it is expensive. It is a great source of protein and fish oil.

Best red Canned Salmon
I first bought this salmon at the Uwajimaya Store in the International District of Seattle, WA. Salmon has always been my favorite fish. I found the salmon tasty and the best canned red salmon to date. It is not dry and the meat, bones, skin are intact.I searched grocery stores and could no longer find Rubinstein's Red Salmon. I finally saw the salmon on the internet and purchased a case. I was excited and gave several cans to my children who also loves canned salmon. They too expressed, that Rubinsteins was the best.I'm almost out and must reorder soon.

Good quality fish well packed
Delivery was prompt and all cans arrived undamaged. Fish was top quality and packed tightly into the can but without crushing or breaking up the meat. Generally I avoid using canned foods; the processing conditions required for sterilization take a toll on food flavor and texture. But for some foods the advantages make it worthwhile. In particular, with perishable foods that are not local sourced, such as Pacific salmon and California tomatoes. Sure, in Alaska I’d probably just go fishing, or buy from a local, but by the time fresh fish gets to the East Coast it is not fresh n Frozen is good too, but it is 2-3 times as expensive. Anyway, canned is never going to be as good as fresh, but this product is as good as it gets for canned fish. It is edible right out of the can, but I usually make fish cakes with it. I use a lot of spices herbs garlic and onion and some flour as a binder, then fry them up. No point in using expensive fresh or frozen fish for fish cakes anyway, these cans are a bargain. Less than $5 each and makes enough for a couple meals.

Great quality at a great price
I've been buying this brand for years and am very happy with the consistency and taste. My local stores quit stocking the salmon with skin and bones so I had to go online to find this kind. Rubenstein's is just like the expensive brands sold in stores. Saves a lot of money buying in bulk like this. Canned with skin and bones is perfect for salmon patties. I eat them for breakfast the way most people eat sausage or bacon, and it boosts my energy all day.

If you are going to buy, the 24 pack is the way to go, if you have space to store.
Rubenstein's Red Salmon is my favorite, because of the taste and the presence of skin and bones, which is partly responsible for the good taste. Any fish or meat cooked with bones is going to taste better. If you buy Rubenstein's in the 24 pack you will get better value overall, because there will be less dented cans due to better packing and the price per can will be lower. I have bought the product in smaller quantity and about half the cans were dented badly enough to fall under the Federal Department of Agriculture advisory. The FDA advisory is about which dented cans should be thrown out when buying canned products. Of the 24 cans, only 5 were dented badly enough to be thrown out.

1 Can Per Week
As good as the Royal Red salmon I've eaten for years. It's a can per week for me.
