**Q: Hello, is it steel? Cheers**
A: Yes the rim is some kind of steel, I have 3 bought over 2 years, no rust issues and the ABS plastic sides hold up well. Smooth transition where the plastic meets the rim so it feels very good in your hand. Center weight but not too much. Great for throwers between 90 and 130 feet.

New to discus throwing. Purchased for my high school daughter. She has thrown a couple PR with this discus. It weighs 1014g after a couple weeks throwing, I disassembled it and rim percentage is 73%. So, I guess pretty good. And feels pretty good and durable.
