The Beginning of Guidance: The Imam and proof of Islam

It is as if you are in the presence of Imam Ghazali as if you are listening to him in person.Not a single word in this book appears cosmetic rather straight out of his heart.It provides a life changing perspective especially for a student of knowledge to change his course and build his foundation on nothing except sincerity.This book and his another book Ayyuhal Walad(O Son) should be taught and gifted to all our kids as they tread on the path of knowledge.

Something cannot be rushed just like this book. Take your time to read and reflect.

I adore the writings of Imam Ghazali. This is an outstanding book. For anyone who feels that they are trying to find a road map to walk in a spiritual path, and put parctices into action, this is the book. I cannot say enough in praise of Imam Ghazali. This book is a must for the serious contemplator about walking a spiritual path. Following intensive research, the purchase of this book has been a part of the process of building a library of Islamic literature, that relates particularly to seeking the path of excellence in spirituality, purification of the heart, ascetism, and an appreciation and understanding of the experiences of those who have followed this very path previously. The goal, God willing, in turn is to be inspired and motivated to seek success in a journey of personal development. Hence, this book is a piece of the puzzle of the big picture. I have been very pleased with this book.

This book is absolutely PHENOMENAL! Once you read this book once you’ll be amazing and blown away it’ll only make you want to read it AGAIN! This book teaches you how to LIVE, every single human being should abide by these rules and follow them fully. They try and say islam is a religion of violence and terror? I beg to differ! I tell them read this book as it teaches you how to BEHAVE. It’s a must read for any Muslim who wants to strengthen their imaan, but remember brothers and sisters. IMPLEMENT WHAT YOU READ!!! Read this book again and again and again every so often so you remember how to ACT.

Imam al-Ghazali explains the spiritual path in this concise and profoundly deep text. The parallel Arabic text is a great component as well. I would recommend following the lecture series by Mufti Kamani on YouTube or by Shaykh Yahya Rhodus on SeekersHub to really derive the most benefit from the text.
