Great Cage. Highly Recommend
Haven't had a single problem , made of cheaper wood and was weird to put together. But no real complaints. Great item with plenty of space. It gave me the most variety

Overpriced for poorly machined PINE habitat.
I was so excited to get this habitat for my hamster. I was paying attention to the tracking while it was being shipped to me. You can imagine my disappointment when I finish putting it together. The material: This habitat is made out of pine. One of the cheapest wood materials out on the market. While its made to look like its for the outdoors, I do not recommend you do as Pine will grey out when exposed to the weather. Also Hamsters are non-native to the USA so they are not outdoor pets. The craftsmanship: I am a joiner by trade. I can tell this whole unit was produced by machinery, as it should but the measurements and craftsmanship are utterly garbage. - Poor superstructure . There is no frame at all. The whole unit is held together by the sidings only. - Gaps in the base. Gaps in base is going to allow for the substrate/shavings to fall out and get stuck under the trey. Also the corner have gaps as well. This is due to real poor precision work. - Front. The trey is not flush since there is no base and the door just dead hangs in place. - The ramp on the left side will tear off as it rest solemnly on the trey. Assembly: The instructions graphics are super vague and do not always match up to the actual component. The assembly itself requires wood assembly knowledge to avoid slipping the wood or breaking the thin pieces. Pine is such a light material that its density is very little. So its very weak and will break easily. Some of the screw emplacements are not pre-drilled so you will need to inspect each piece thoroughly. During assembly, I notice quite a bit of tension and some of the components are not flush with one another. This means you will need to sand the excess off unless you want splinters. The plastic on the windows is buried in the groves so you have to peel it ALL off or you pet can eat it and die. Toys: The toys and extra stuff that came with it are redundant and simply there to increase sales. Do not use that as a factor for this habitat. I am not impressed with this product. Its not at all worth the price as it is pine, poor craftsmanship and terrible assembly process. The only reason why I am keeping this product is because I am going to improve and fix the flaws. While this was supposed to be a new cozy home for my buddy, it will first be a pet project. Pun intended. Update: the hamster chewed a hole in the habitat. I had to install a plastic rail to cover it up. This habitat is not hamster friendly. Update as of 5/5: The wiring on the top came apart. the panels on the back are warping. The hamsters chewed a hole through the bottom of the habitat. They escape and I had to patch it up. This was after they ate the wiring of my fridge. This habitat is going to be replaced this week and will become firewood shortly.

Absolutely NOT
My hamster broke out of this cage in less then 1 week. The wood didn’t fit together and because of that, she was able to chew a hole through it and got out. The screen on top broke from me putting a 2 pound book on top of it. It should not have caved in that easily. On top of that, the “door” in the front has 0 support and if she hadn’t chewed her way through the back, she could have easily gone through the front. The wood is NOT water proof, so all of the hamster pee will just soak right in and it’s impossible to clean. Also if you’d like to put a decent amount of bedding in there, forget about the sliding tray that comes out. It doesn’t even fit correct. This cage is a piece of garbage and not worth the money or the time it takes to put together. Please just purchase a 75 gallon wide glass tank. It will be much more suitable for your baby. Do not waste your money on this. I now have to house her in a travel cage until I can get a different enclosure.

Mansion Upgrade :)
Enid was originally in a 20 gallon aquarium, but she seemed unhappy once she got full size due to the small space. After watching a few videos, I soon realized teddy bear hamsters need more space to be happy, healthy, and active. It took me 20 mins to build and my daughter made some pictures to hang in it for her :) She’s super excited about her upgraded mansion and hasn’t stop running around. The quality and craftsmanship is superb, I highly recommend this item.

A hamster mansion
The assembly was easier than our last tiny plastic hamster cage, easy instructions took under an hour and it's perfect! Our hamster loves all the space and it looks nice in our living room. 5 stars

Very expensive compared to quality
The hutch box came unassembled. The factory glued pieces did not hold so many pieces had fallen apart. Additional steps while assembling were necessary to glue pieces back together. Some pieces were broken (in shipping?) and had to be fixed. Honestly, I would and should have sent this back but it would require more effort to repack and return than just buying wood glue and tiny nails to fix myself. Very disappointed with quality given the expense of this hutch. I don't expect it to last very long. The wood is very soft and the hamster has already chewed a good chunk out of the wall and floor. Cage is very hard to clean, soiled litter drops immediately out when tray is pulled out. Urine leaks out onto surface below cage and has to be cleaned.

Works so well!!!!
I bought this cadge for my hedgie. Assembly was easy and took 3 hours with 2 people. It is beautiful, though a lot larger than expected. Practically a mansion for my hedgehog. Love it!! ;)

If you are buying this for a rodent I would suggest you do not. My hamster has chewed out of it and has been missing for 2 days now. We are hopeful she is still in the house somewhere but absolutely do not buy if it’s for a rodent it will chew through.

As much as this product was in my price range, i would not recommend this to anyone. It’s built sturdy, but my hamster would chew on the wood and we had to install metal pieces on the sides so she wouldn’t get out. on top of that, there isn’t enough space to fill up the right amount of bedding for the hamster, without removing a whole layer. Finally, the wood is unsafe and quite slippery. On multiple occasions i’ve seen my hamster slide down the little ramps, so definitely not safe.
